Received a call from this number. Missed call and checked my message line. They left a automated message, from a cell phone to text format. LOL
They asked for a Stephani Phyfer, or how ever that persons name is spelled...I am not no woman so they obviously have the wrong number.
So I sent a text back-land line to text and told them I am not whom they are in search for, quit calling my cell phone.
They text me back with another land line to text message.
So I called them immediately. The same stupid [***] answered the phone who was leaving the messages.
I stated I already sent them a text, I am not some woman they are looking for so they better quit calling my cell phone. She hung up on me,,,lmao...
So I sent a text to land line message back to her...stating once more I will be having my carrier track her number and will expose their scam...

The number called from is 832-623-7740, and their land line text number is 781-577-6883

I am not taking [***] from some two bit nothing looking for some one I never heard of..

I received a call from these people just before Thanksgiving and was threatened with jail over an outstanding debt I allegedly accrued 10 years ago with a payday loan company called Advance America. The woman I spoke with (who sounded like a reject from an Ice Cube Friday movie) was very hostile and shouted down everything I had to say, insisting that I immediately fork over several hundred dollars or face the prospect of immediate legal action, including arrest for fraud. I told her what she could do with her fraud charges and hung up in her face. The next morning I contacted my local District Attorney and was told that Goldman Schwartz is nothing more than a collection agency and that they have a reputation for violating FTC rules on debt collection practices (such as threatening arrests). I was mailed a package of materials on filing harassment charges against debt collectors with the FTC and assured that Goldman Schwartz have absolutely no legal authority whatsoever to file charges of any kind against anyone. So don't let these fools rattle you. Just hang up on them.

I'm so sick of these people.  Fortunately I NEVER answer my cell phone unless I know who's calling.  I've been getting these calls off and on for over a year.  They have left messages saying 'this is investigator so and so and I need you to return my call by the end of the day or I have no choice but to contact the authorities'  A year later I've never returned their calls and no authorities have contacted me..why?  because I DON'T OWE ANYONE MONEY!  They called again today concerning an 'important transaction' with my checking account.  BS!

IT'S A SCAM!!  Do not answer your phone if you don't recognize the number.

I am dealing with those people right now.  The person I talked to Mr. Moore wasn't rude like the people I have heard ya'll talk about but one thing I do know I did have a payday loan that I didn't pay and my daughter got stopped in my vehicle and the officer wanted to know if she was me and he told her to tell me that someone was looking for me.  My daugther indicated that it had something to do with a check.  Make very sure because the laws can differ from state to state. I don't know if they are the ones who flagged my license but it's real.  I have only one payment left with them and it get over soon enough.

Been getting phone calls froom Goldman Schwartz for 6 years! They call on my cell phone, but are actually looking for the person who used to have my number. I have called them numerous times and they say they have removed my number from their data base, but they haven't. They expect ME to know the name of the person they are trying to collect from to assist them! More recently when I've called them, they hung up on me. Finally, I got my cell phone provider to put a block on their phone number(s). Hopefully it works.

    Unreal
Folks - goes w/o saying these are scammers. Just got a call myself about "an important back transaction".

Don't confirm anything for them and for gods sake don't send them money or agree to settle any past due debt, especially if they won't properly identify themselves or provide you with documentation. They are relying on fear and a short time window for you to act. Simply tell them to send the documents, and when they don't, just hang up.

Received a call from a gentlemen #832-623-7740 at the end of January threatening that my drivers license and social would be flagged and if I were stopped for a minor traffic violation that I would be detained IF I did not pay them $1114.30 or possibly $571.26 IF they could get approved by the attorney for a "PAYDAY" Loan from 2007...TX Statutes of limitation on any debt is 4y, plus I included this DEBT/LOAN in my BK and it was discharged...the person kept threatening me over and over again and it did start to worry me with my career and what affect it might have on it if there was a warrant issued...as this gentleman claimed this is a felony charge. I requested payments and he declined, the only solution was to pay the lessor amount IF he could get it approved...and that he could TRY to hold my case from being submitted to Harris County an a warrant would be issued...I explained IF I could come up with this kind of money it wouldnt be til around the 15th (today) and he requested I call him back that he didnt have the time to call me...so, while on the phone w/him I started researching the # and company namde came up with an address of 11152 Westheimer, Ste #116 Houston TX 77042 -he confirmed this address to be correct. I then requested that he mail me documentation -claims they are a paperless enviorment...I adv that I wouldnt pay anything til I have it in writing, and then requested it in an email attachment since they are paperless...he got very irrate w/me. I said let me see what I can do and I'll call you on or before the 15th (today). That evening I researched # further and found many complaints and advising to call FTC and the TX State Attorney's Office. I filed complaint w/FTC on phone, and they confirmed company is a SCAM...I then called TX State Attorney's Office they adv they had many complaints on company as well, and to file a complaint online -done.
Funny thing is I recd 2 calls today from 281-741-9930 -recd 1 message from Kimberly Dickerson at 832-623-7740 x37 requesting payment today as promised...lol, I didnt promise a payment. I adv I would see what I could do and for them to call me but was adv they couldnt make any promises and they wouldnt call me back as they are too busy...

Joannette P. Jones is a Goldman Schwartz dupe. Disregard her post. From time to time GS sends people here to post comments like hers. No policeman stopped her daughter and said "someone is looking for you". Its just more GS baloney.

You are a Goldman Schwartz employee. Stop trying to confuse these people. No policeman stopped your daughter and said someone was looking for you. The police aren't a telegram service. And make up a better sounding name next time "Joan Jones" sheesh.
