I got a call from some lady at dinner time. She claimed to represent Goldman Schwartz and asked for my father, who passed away last November. I informed her that he was deceased and she proceeded to inform me that he died owing a debt to some check cashing company. Then she told me that as his son it was my "responsibility" to pay off the debt. I told her he left nothing. In fact, I had to pay for his cremation out of my own pocket. She didn't care and kept insisting it was my responsibility. I disagreed. The longer the conversation went on, the more ghetto she became, eventually going from somewhat professional and courteous to full on "Shenaynay" hood rat yelling, threatening and shouting over me so as not to allow me to get a word in edgewise. If that was meant to intimidate me, it didn't work. I gave as good as I got and eventually she hung up on her end (but not before calling me a racial slur for a white person - I'm not white). These people are just too much. The Federal Trade Commission really needs to shut them down.

Yes they do collect on accounts that is as old as the hills, and they break every FDCPA law you could imagine. It's just a matter of time that the doors get shut on them, or see how many more times they will change their name. *****Beware of them*******.

i was contacted by a mr.white representing goldman schwartz from (855)491-9822 .he advised me thathe was trying to save me from being arrested for fraud after i defaulted on a payday loan in 2009.after 15minutes he still could not get my name right or even tell me who the original lender was

They have a young gentlemen by the name Christopher Phelps signing all their lawsuits, due to he is just straight out the jail, and has nothing to lose, so Gerald Wright, ask him to take the responisbility of the lawsuits, since he has no money to settle on any lawsuits, they also have people in there take peoples credit card information, and using it to purchase shoes, tickets, and other things online.  Gerald Wright also had the debtors, sending moneygrams and western unions, in his wifes name JOYCELYN DELEON.....recently they did get an account with moneygram, but until then the money orders was going to the SENIOR LEGAL, Gerald Wright or Joycelyn DeLeon.

Correct address to this scam company is 10333 Harwin, Suite 150. It's about time this scam company be stopped immediately! They have always overworked and underpaid their employees. Have never taken taxes out and certainly never paid their last check once they leave the company. If you had an account that stated 200.00, they would tell the debtor they owed 1200.00. In other words, they had the employees juicing the accounts. All upfront personnel need to be prosecuted as well as the owner and this Jocelyn Deleon person for scamming folks out of their hard earned money. I can't wait to see the day when Channel brings this scam company down!!!!!!!

Then what you need to do is go and tell everything to the Federal Trade Commission or your state attorney general. Nobody here can do anything. Your the one in a position to stop this, being a former employee. Nothing will happen to you. For providing information, you'll be given a pass. That's typical in these cases. Last to flip, takes the trip. Better you get off for scamming people than someone else right?

I was contacted by a Goldman Schwartz representative and threatened with arrest if I did not immediately fork over cash to pay off a debt I supposedly owe from 6 years ago with a payday loan company. The woman on the phone was very  and overly aggressive.  I do not trust them.

You are obviously a troll - police departments don't "investigate" companies for a "caller" and they can't make a statement as to whether it's a "scam" or not.

These idiots continue to call me.  I've never answered a single call (thanks to sites like these).  Some Backwoods Hick always says I have "hot checks".  Funny they refer to me by my nick-name which tells me right away it's a scam.  All of my financial/Banking accounts have my legal name on them.  Just ignore or hang up on them.

I have contacted the Texas State Attorney General, The New Mexico State Attorney General and My District Attorney.  They all say get proof of the debt.  All say they are SCAMMERS.  When I told them that Ms. Williams said I don't know who you are talking to but the are lying to you and misinformed.  When I told them to contact my attorney Ms. Williams and all the other people she transferred me to or had call me said it was too late to talk to an attorney.  I have been harassed by these people since Nov.  They continue to threaten me but yet won't provide documentation or anything to show they are legitimate.  I did look at their web site and did some research and it is a lie as well.  Most of the place they say they are accredited with don't exist or don't have any record of them.

CONTACT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IN TEXAS AND IN YOUR STATE.  LETS TAKE CONTROL OF THIS AS CONSUMERS!!!!!

Sorry my above post is hard to read.  I am very frustrated.

Just got a call at work from this company and she DID sound legit.  But after reading through these comments AND speaking to a friend who is a criminal atty, this is bogus.  I called the number and was given the address...after being asked what my call was for. Decided to call back to see if they were hiring....got the same thing; question after question.  Then Cheryl, the one answering the phone gave me the wrong address, conveniently leaving out a '1' for the address.  The address is 11152 Westheimer, ste 116.  But when I repeated it back to her, 2x, she still said 1152 Westheimer and that they were full already.

I have gotten  2 calls from this place both time asking for someone different they where rude and hung up on me when I was trying to get info about why they where calling me. They made me give them my name and # so now I am unsure of what will happen. I was made to feel as if I was lying about who i was and weather I knew the person they were looking for.

This is what is happening to me as well. It is very aggravating. And they are very rude...

These people are rude they called my family member whom gave me the number I called back and these people was talking about they was going to file a felony and have me arrested to do jail time along with my license suspended. They would not give me any information on the debt they were trying to collect information from me yet they would not give me any information. I hung up and immediately called my lawyer. He informed me that these people were nothing but SCAMMERS and that I should call the FBI on them. I called the Illinois Attorney General and made a report and they stated that they have several reports filed against this company. Stupid Debt collector if people did jail time for debt then the whole county would be in jail.

I did my research as well and have set up a pmt arrangement with them. they are legitimate. If you work w/them you can get your debt pay-off reduced to half. Then you just send the paid in full letter to your debtor and its all good.

I just got a call from them today.
I get so many junk calls from various companies, that I let the answering machine pick it up.
I've learned to check them out through the Better Business Bureau.

These jerks contacted me several months ago stating that I owe a debt from a check cashing place....I asked them to send me proof and they said they were paperless! I said so u won't send me any information about what you want me to pay? He stated I was buying time and hung up me! I called back asked for the same person and the voice was the same but he used a different name! A month or so has passed and they call again threatening me and telling me I had to pay them by credit or debit card today! I contacted thE bbb and they said its a total scam...give them nothing! I am contacting Attorney general tomorrow! These scum buckets need to be stopped!!!  I'm sick and tired of innocent people trying to live right being scammed!
