They called my sister saying the same thing above t me and she freaked out and called me. So I started searching for info.  Glad I found this.  They just had been on a rampage today calling people

Numerous all's from this number askng for someone I have never heard from. Caller identifies himself as Michael Carter.

Same thing, same message :(

left  a message,   Hello my name is Michael Carter. I'm calling today in regards to a formal complaint that's been filed against  Sarah Rainwater ( which is not me or anyone I know).  If I know the whereabout of  (different voice) Sarah Rainwater to call  ___________,   I don't answer unknown numbers with out checking them out first.I blocked the number

Same message from Michael Carter. He said it was in regards to someone I have no known knowledge of. So unlike the rest of you where it was either about yourself or someone related to you (or that you know), mine is completely random about someone I don't even know! Glad to confirm it's spam, and that I didn't answer or use the word "yes" at all! Thanks for the info

Received numerous calls from this number!

This person threatens every February that my wife has to pay them money or go to jail. They don’t even know what company she supposedly owes.  I tell them they are a scam they get mad and curse me. I laugh at them and wait until next February.  The only thing that sucks is they call any number associated with you.   It’s been 4 consistent years and still no authorities.  Lol these people need to get a real job. If they put half the effort into a real job that they do scamming people the could be useful and not a waste of space.

This number has called me, my grandmother (today and yesterday 3times), and my aunt. Looking for me and my whereabouts. These people call all the time from many numbers. But always same thing. This is ridiculous

Vm to txt:  "Hello my name is Michael Carter. I'm calling today in regards to a formal complaint that's been filed against (me).  If you have any information as to the whereabouts of (me).  Please contact our office immediately at 833-225-9739.  Again that number is 8-933-225--9739.  Our next step will be notified of the proper authorities.  Thank you."  The number shows up on my phone as "Scam Likely"...They called my mother and brother telling them the same thing about me. After calling back 7-8 times, I finally got a live person on the phone and told her what happened, she said thank and hung up! I called back and got no response.

Have been getting calls from these people for over 5-6 years now and they only call in the beginning of the year. Total scammers!! The first time they called I didn't know and I actually thought there was a file against me so I called back and they gave me this fake company saying that they file a claim against me and is taking me to court and if I want to avoid that I would have to pay them (the scammers) $400. So I called my husband right away and told him, he told me they are a bunch of scammers, first of all, they will not call you if they have a file against you for going to court. The court will send you papers in the mail. Second, those scammers didn't even know my full name, all they told me was they recognized my voice that's how they were able to determine my identity, bunch of bull [***]! So I got fed up with them and started calling them, harassing them.. I told them they are a bunch of scamming losers.. and their response was "F*** You B****! quit calling us!" and they hung up on me... So yep I called them again, got a bunch of fake names and fake accents but three of the same scammers.. telling me I'm crazy and I need to see a metal institute! First off.. what kind of customer service calls you a B**** and tell you to go suck a D***?? they are a bunch of SCAMMERS!! So I don't stop there... I keep calling them and harassing them! Now how do they like it? calling me and harassing me for years and years now. The scammers got fed up with me calling them so much.. they're telling me to stop calling them and that I don't owe them anything! I go... well don't you guys want to scam my money? I got my credit card ready for you guys, how much do you want!?! Scammer goes "we don't want your money quit calling you're on drugs! we don't have drugs for you here! go to the drug store and get yourself drugged up!" yes that's what the scammers told me!! So I don't stop there and I keep calling them.. soon enough they sent me to the messaging and won't even speak to me. Bunch of low life people who has nothing to do and scam hard working people! They got a taste of me that's for sure!

Same number called me today and left the same message..."This is Michael Carter..." blah, blah, blah. In addition to filing a complaint with the FTC, you should also file a complaint with the FCC at https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=39744.

Same experience as others here. Calls every year, leaves several messages.

Hahahaha!  Got one of these calls - 2 different robo voices.  What a scam.  No identification of who they represent that filed a compliant.  Gotta love the 'notify proper authorities' at the end.  How about they call the real proper authorities and turn themselves in!!!   Still cracking up over this scam call.

Definitely a scam, they call every so often and say the same exact thing.  They give no information about the loan or company name.  Scam for sure!!

This caller has called my cell phone, and my parent's landline number (who live on the opposite side of the country from me) claiming that they have filed a complaint against me and are looking for my whereabouts. The next step will be to contact the proper authorities.

I have been warned of scammers especially around the holidays and tax season. I know my info was breached when the US Govt had their files compromised when I was active-duty military as I received a letter stating to watch for fraudulent activity with my information.

I too I have received calls saying there is a complaint against me.  This is a scam and should be disregarded
