Same call as all others. Calling my ex-husband and his current wife, my family and boyfriend. Happens every year this time. Boyfriend called back and screamed in their ears! Hahaha!

I received the exact same message earlier today today. Sounded like a real person and a computer generated voice saying my name...i was a little taken back by the "We will follow up with the proper authorities" part and wanted to know what was going on. 8 called the # back and was sent some sort of voice mail. I didn't leave a message an decided to Google the #. I'm glad I did, I figured it was a scam.

Called and threatened to turn me into authorties and started laughing. I told her go ahead,bring it.

Claimed my husband had a pay day loan. He has never ever used a Payday loan in his life let alone at age 46. When I started asking questions and wanted info for our attorney they got really snide and hung up. SCAM. So unfair because some people will actually be fooled and then robbed!

There is no business name associated with the number because threatening and harrassing as a bill collector is illegal. I just got the same call from the same people and yeah collector gone mad.

I got the exact same phone call as everyone else is saying. Someone named Michael Carter left a vm stating that they are looking for (me) because a formal complaint has been filed against me. Any information on my whereabouts need to call them at 833-225-9739. Seriously, do these people have nothing better to do with their lives than to harass people in hopes to "scare" someone?? DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!

This # called my cell, my landline, my elderly parents and then my elderly in-laws (all in different states) this morning with the same crap others are reporting: a "michael carter" reading a scripted message, with a robo voice jumping in to say my maiden name and a nickname for my first name, claiming they are tracking down my whereabouts due to a formal complaint and next step will be to notify authorities.

I am furious because my in-laws aren't native English speakers and were extremely scared and upset by this!

I blocked my # using *67 and called back to the # they left. You get a recorded message with no company name or info, then you have to press 0 to speak to a "representative". Finally a woman picked up and mumbled something unclear.  Without identifying myself I said "you have been calling multiple people about me this morning,  and before we continue you should know I have an officer from my local police here listening in. Who are you and what company are you representing?" IMMEDIATELY she hung up on me. Scam, scam, scam!!

Please save phone #s and messages from these scammers and file a formal complaint with the FTC and your Atty General and above all do not pay them a cent or confirm/give them any information.

Same here- they call daily almost. I've never taken out a loan online.. just bought a house so I think if I had some unpaid loan I'd know about it. They call my brother in law and sister, both who are police officers. When they made a comment about alerting the authorities, my sister laid into them about how she is the authorities and on and on and they stopped calling her, but still call me. I called them back one time and I requested to get a letting in writing stating I owed this money and they refused to do it. Any legit company would be more than happy to show you owe this bill. It's such a scam- I'm thinking about changing my number because I'm sick of the calls.

I got the same call from the same person looking for my brother who's a correctional officer. What a joke. Scam for sure

I received a call from this number, but there was no message left.  Two Christmases ago a friend of mine, my mother in law and me were receiving these calls and I received one similar around this time last year.  It seems to be around the holidays and tax season, hoping to pray on people when they may have extra funds on hand.  I filed a complaint with the FCC (https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=39744) and my local Attorney General's office.  I suggest everyone does the same, so they get flooded with complaints about them and maybe do something.

I wonder what they would do if you said Yes, I know this dead beat person lol!

This number has called my family and work. When you call back no one answers it seems as like a scam

He keeps calling my phone asking if I know the whereabouts of my daughter with a recording & saying he will take the necessary steps 2 file the complaint its a scam. Its not his voice its a a fake voice . This has happened b4? Please anyone who has gotten this call ignore it
