What possible thought process suggested that we called you,  your caller reads your posts here, or your post will effectively stop calls to you?

8.10 am on a Sunday morning!! No I didn't answer to see who it was but sure was ticked off to have been bothered on my ONLY day to rest. Needless to say that # is blocked!

It is a scam!  Debt is usually written off after 3 years and they dont have the right to collect any more

... it may be a scam, however, the statute of limitations for suing for unpaid debt varies from state to state.

Same here; I've been with WF for 18+ years and have a checking and savings account, CC,  plus they own my home and my truck. I've never had phone calls like this coming in 5-8 times a day and not always within business hours. I take office calls on my mobile phone in addition to personal calls so I have to answer each call; I've picked up when this number called and only a machine asking me to hold for a person and I've called back only to get to a machine. The voicemail never says what it's in regards to, just that I can call back and talk to a WF Mortgage Specialist. Beats me what's going on but it's really annoying. I will probably block it on my mobile after I talk to a person at WF to confirm it's legitimacy and purpose.

These are total fraudsters ! This is NOT any Wells Fargo or associated with them. These are complete idiots. Called us hundreds of times. ONE TIME they left a message on our answering machine as if they were reading from a script. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION !
Now when we see their number on our caller ID # we blow a whistle really LOUD in their ears.

Between 12/22/16 and 1/5/17, I have received 31 calls from this number. Only once did they left a message, so I know that it is Wells Fargo (or so they say) calling about my mortgage. Phony call!

They call several times but leave no message.

Called on 2-18-17 at 2:57pm. No message left. Called back and it says Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and asks for your loan number or social security number. I hung up and went online to the Wells Fargo site and looked up contact numbers. This number is nowhere to be found. So I went to the Report Fraud page where they give you contacts to report suspicious activity or calls. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION. IT IS A SCAM

Message states that it is Wells Fargo calling about my mortgage. I DO NOT have a mortgage with Wells Fargo and I DO NOT plan on calling the number they left back either - caller ID shows this number having called, but the phone message says to call (844) 656-0362. They called a work number, not a personal number.

It is a total scam my home is mortgaged through WF if in fact it is true they would have left a message for you to call them

I've been getting calls from this number, generally on weekends, at work.  There are never any messages.  Today, based on reading sites like this, I called the official phone number from the online Wells Fargo home mortgage website.  The woman I spoke to did admit that the number belonged to them.  I instructed her to place all of my phone lines on their do-not-call list, and she said she did it.  If I get another call from them I will have some ammunition.

I've been receiving call from 1844-213- 5419 I have a friend who received the same message. Those are fraudsters. do not answer!

Would not give any information and after my asking many questions, they would give no answers but tried to get information from me.  They also wanted me to fax them some personal information which I would not.  I asked if there was a problem and finally they said "no problem" and hung up.
