ACA called me tonight. Talking about a bill in 2012. I told them I never had an acct. With either party they mention.

I also received a call from these guys. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. After reading everything here I won't answer or give anything. I did have a payday loan but closed the account immediately and I have dealt with identity theft over a decade ago. Plus I was married to cop so I know that process servers don't call and threaten you that they're showing up, they just show up.

Got a call from this 844 number, answered it. A recording tells me it's from ACA and to press 1 to speak to a representative, which I did. After ringing incessantly, a voice recording picks up and says I've reached Diverse Financial Enterprise and to leave a message. I'll pass.

Keep getting call from this number best not to answer. In fact never answer any call do not know. After reading all the other posted note on this. Only said not to answer any call you do not know.

844-246-8944 is calling me numerous times each day, they called 4 times this morning and once this afternoon, so far.  I finally blocked them. They claim to be ACA, but have no valid info

They re a scam Bill has been paid. Reported to police and to the FTC.

I received this call today from a Upper Southampton PA number however the return call number was 844-246-8944. If ACA is located in Georgia do they really think using a ID for a closer number would make it work better?

got a message today on cell from 209-265-8638 - robot voice looking for CP Investors LLC (I'm an individual) that there was serious case against my information gave a case # which was my cell phone weird - the asked me to call 844-246-8944.  Legitimate company would use real number and not call from one and ask you to call back another - SCAMMERS

Block them.  If they were legitimate, they would contact you be certified mail.

they have been calling me since January 7th.  they make it look like a 302 number which is my state - 302-308-4730 and 302-308-4732.  when I call back no one is available at that number.  of course they are not, because they are spoofing the number.    They also called from 262-577-0298.  They do not always leave a voice mail but they have called me 38 times since January  7th.  First they were Impact Mediations.  They called me again Friday, March 11th 5 times.  They are now American Credit Adjusters and are calling from the same 302 number but give a call back number of 844-246-8944.

I reported them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and below is the answer American Credit Adjusters sent back

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

You guys are correct, they are called ACA and is owned by Jahaan Mcduffie. He is the registered agent for the illegal agency. Listed with theGeorgia Secretary of State as American credit adjusters.  His LinkedIn page did list him as the owner but he took that down when confronted.  Call him and ask him why is he running an illegal collection agency,   His mobile number is (678)230-4453.  He will lie to you and he has a voice mail on that phone listed as another company trying to sound legit.  He is a convicted felon from NY.  The office location is a UPS store but he is the key to locating and exposing the operation.   Jahaan Mcduffie is operating his "business" Just like Omar Smith/AFS legal service in Ga. Omar Smith got busted by the FTC in January 2016, that can verified by Google and the Federal Trade Commission website.  Jahaan Mcduffie is doing the exact same thing , same method, maybe buying that info from Omar after he got shut down by the FTC.  Already filed report with FTC and Georgia.  Maybe they will do something, I've pretty much done their job for them. If Mcduffie or ACA calls, record them and get an attorney.  You can sue per occurrance, it's the law.

Again if nothing else, call his mobile number and harass him like ACA is doing to you.  If they threaten to call the police say yes, please call that local PD and file a complaint so I can find out where you are.  They have purchased debt that has already been paid from some hackers or debt that is not even yours.  They are using skip tracing hardware to get information on you, phone numbers and employment.  They are committing ID theft, extortion and those FTC violations.

Call Jahaan Mcduffie and ask him to be a man and stop hiding behind a fake business that will not disclose their location and their real way of operating.

No need. That one's well noted. Very well noted. There's a "robust" woman that we've been making a lot of notes on too. We laugh about it. How can a "Buffalo" in the South hide that well? It's just a matter of time.

The state and feds will take some time.  It takes a while to build a case.  You would be much better off with the private right to sue him as afforded to you by the law.

Now these guys are using caller ID spoofing so the numbers wont always show up correctly.  legal action being filed Friday boys!
