A man named Michael Scott called my cell and left a voicemail. The man said he wanted to serve me papers for court proceedings and said if i was not at my residents then they would come to my place of employment to serve me these papers and that they would have my manager or supervisor present.

Pete/Mike /Keith  Juliano/Alex Scott/Michael Scott from "Legal Support Services" and other phony process server personas with the “put away your guns and dogs” scam.   Use that same phrase , claiming to be process servers, or somehow connected to your local county and tell you they are coming by so "lock up your guns and dogs."  Total clap-trap.

This is a debt scamming operation.

This "Mike Juliano' persona appears on 877-239-8098  800notes.  He and a "Brian O'Conner”  seem to work for something called IntrinsicTel, which the BBB claims is a "debt counselling service".

Which is total nonsense.  These people are  debt collectors.

    In any event,

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

I find it very surprising how all of us got the same call during the month of April. If you get a call and they don't say your name and what it's in reference for you can bet money it's a scam. Every year around this time I get at least 15 vm and Em staying debt owed, must, or go to jail. I haven't been taken to jail as of 4/24/17 since my first call.  So block the call and just forget it. Farms will get those who try to take no ey that's not thiers.

I received a call from these people. They called my sister-in-law. So I called them back knowing this was bs. They asked me to verify my SSn and I said no. I asked them what this is in regards to and they said it was for a credit card that I owe money for. That's when i called them out on their bs. I told the guy first of all, the credit company's attorney has to send me a letter giving me 30 days to pay or make payment arrangements before they take me to court. Secondly, this debt is included in my bankruptcy. So therefore they are contacting me illegally trying to collect this debt. Then I gave them the name and number to my lawyer and told them to contact her and hung up.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. VM sounds like it starts in the middle of a message, so no identifying information. I got a similar call--don't know if it was the same number--a few months back and nothing ever came of it. I believe it's a scam--a scare tactic to get people to call back and give them personal information, probably credit card info or SSN.

Just received a call from 844-369-0782.  The man stated he was coming to my residence with a law enforcement officer and if I was not home they would come to my place f employment.  They told me to put any dogs and firearms I had in my house up.  This is a scam.  I called the number back and spoke with a man that refused to give me his name.  Once I informed them that I was a law enforcement officer and that I wanted more information about the caller, company, etc. he hung up the phone on me.  I called back several times and it goes to voicemail.  This is a scam.  Do not let these people scare or intimidate you.  What they are doing is illegal and against the law.  Block their calls and report them.  They are trying to extort money from people who will fall prey to their game.

I just got the same message, though he did say his name is Michael Scott from Legal Support Services.  Other than that, they do not address me by name.  He said he's coming out to serve me at my residence and, if I'm not found, will go to my job and I need to have a member of management present to serve as witness.  I called back to mfkr him, but got a machine saying press 1 for records dept, for litigation dept press 2, etc...  Anyone else would think this is legite, but I'm pretty sure it's not.  Just block them.

Also you might consider a call blocker.  And make sure you block 844 area codes; they are often used by debt scammers.
