Received same message..I have been retired for 8 years and don't have any outstanding debts or issues that will cause such a call. I am relieved to see others received the call..but yet uncomfortable about it as well.

I received the same phone call last week
This person by the name of James Scott left a vm stating that he will be coming to my place of residence or to my  place of employment accompanied by a uniform officer. So glad to know that I'm not the only one that received this phone scam!!!

Received the same call with the same pre-recorded message. No identifying information, not too worried about it after reading 8 pages of the same. Annoying BS!

Got the same message, sounding very legit but with none of my information directly referenced, just that it was a court summons in my name and SSN and they're send someone to serve me at home or work. Glad I came online to check it out as I first called them back and left a voicemail. Scared the crap out of me!

So far this is the 4th wek in a row i have gotten this threatening...annoying message!! These leolle are wolves..definitely a SCAM!!!!

I just got the identical one message from Michael Scott.

i got the same call today i went and gave the police department the number they left a message and i played it for the police they wrote down the phone number

Michael Scott from Legal Services. He states he's coming to my house or work to serve me some papers regarding a sealed court order. Whatever. He called 10 days ago too....I'm still here! Scammers!!

Yes.  Ignore it.  It's a scam.  See my entry of 25 Apr 2017 this thread and report them!

Purchase a call blocker.  Follow directions.  Block call.  You might want to block the entire 844 area code; it is often used by scammers.

Ignore and block these calls.

If you were the subject of a pending civil lawsuit, you'd have received a letter from the attorney for the other party.  You'd have a paper trail.

Then, if a case was filed, you'd have received a summons delivered to you by someone licensed to serve process in your locality.  You would NOT have first heard about any civil law case from some scammery-scummery debt collector who cold calls you and starts demanding money.

You can check this out yourself by simply going down to the local main civil court and checking the defendants civil list.  The court clerks are usually glad to help and are familiar with these kinds of scams.

My daughter just received this same call. They didn't mention her name, either, or what it was about.

Received the same type call as all of you .. I filed a complaint with the FTC .. consumer finance.gov .. I called the 844 # wasn't able to speak with any one for 1 or 2 ..   called them every scum bucket u could name to leave a voicemail threatening to show up at home or at my job ..

This # calling everyone in my family stating a warrant for my arrest and they are gonna show up with a few other ppl...

Scam debt collector.  Ignore or report to FCC.

I received a text from 1-800-695-2233 saying my PenFed account was frozen and to call 1-844-369-8878 to unfreeze it.  I called the number and they ask for your account number and PIN - I don't have a PenFed account so I texted back to leave me alone and that I was contacting the police.  PenFed said they are looking into this fraudulent caller.
