Called them back once. Wouldn't talk to me unless I verified my information. Said local business going to sue. Sent info but won't resend unless I verify information..they are calling everyone I have ever lived with..

Received a similar call, and they left a voicemail. The person said they were Jason Hess, with "Document Control Services Barne's & Associates." Left the number 833-986-3505 along with a reference number. Stated they sent a letter about a complaint 30 days ago, and this was their 2nd attempt. Said I must contact them today, or they would move forward. I never received any letter. Used language like "you have been notified," and other intimidating language, although the person starts out sounding really cheery and nice. They must be changing tactics slightly.

Received the same exact message, phone number and threat. Funny how I never received the original letter 30 days ago. Haha

Nigeria asking for money so he may enter into the US and will give you 1 million dollars.

they are calling me regarding a debt, even after I told them to stop calling me and send me a ;etter. Now they started to harass my daughter by calling her number and leaving messages for me on her phone

I received a voicemail from Jacob Latimore stating that this is a notification of a complaint against me and to call 8886610034.  When I called I asked what this was about and they said they couldn’t give me any information until I gave my date of birth so I hung up.  My sister called me and said they left a message on her phone to give to me.

I got a call today wanting to give me a number to call saying it was a litigation case with Barnes and associates I said u   you called me once before told me the firm was in Texas I called them they said it has been going on this time they said they was in Seattle Washington. I said leave me a message on my vm. I'm glad I got on here and read these before I called.

I got the same call, right to my vm for my son-in-law, with a reference # to give when i call back to 833-482-1975.. called my daughter just to let her know and they both have received the same calls.

Same scam call, actually using my married name(been divorced over 20 years this was the first indication of a scam). Called my family and myself and who knows who else they are calling. Blocking all numbers but kept the voicemail so I have proof and reported to FCC. They called from a LOCAL number 312-801-7144. Barnes & Associates, legal action, said serve notice by mail. FYI. Never received a damn thing. It would be amazing if they could pass a law that stated if you are found to be a fraudulent business they can take away those phone numbers without warning or notice.

Do you really think such a law would stop criminals? No other law does.

Same experience. Left a message at my work, my cell and a family members. Thought there way a rule about work numbers when there isn't a valid debt. I do not have any collections or unpaid old debt. Called from a local number and advised to call 833-482-1975.

Real debt collectors are allowed to call you at work until they are told otherwise.  Real debt collectors can call family & friends for location purposes with several restrictions.  Crooks like this don't care about laws.  That is why they are criminals.

I had a call from an unknown number- they said they were a process server and tried to serve me today at 10 am. They asked if I was (my married name and my maiden name). They asked if my address was etc.  They told me that I needed to call Barnes and Assoc at 628-204-7810 and gave me a reference number. So they already have all my information such as my name-address and phone number. I know this is a scam as I don't have any outstanding debt and my RING would have caught anyone approaching my home. These people really need to get a life and a real job. Scamming people is LOW.....[***] roach low.
