They called and said all of my identifying info particularly correct. Then wanted to know if it was me! I told them 'Thank You' for so much personal information and refused to verify, at which they hung up. What a great way to cause identiy theft!!!

They called me today and asked my name. I asked her who is this? I was told by a woman that they were calling about a "personal business matter". I feel that's a suspicious call and I hung up.

You need to send them a certified, return receipt  "not me"  and your son should send them a debt validation letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Called and asked my name, I confirmed my name.  I am waiting on 2 important phone calls who would ask me that so I was expecting this to be one of my expected callers.  Then he asked me to confirm my birthday, I immediately said no I will not confirm that on the phone and asked the name of his company, he refused to give me that information just said it's a personal business matter.  I hung up on him.

They called me yesterday morning I didn't even realize there was a VM until I got off of work tonight. I listened and it was about an owed debt with Wakefield or (Whitfield)  and Associates not sure of which name due to bad recording. Which is kind of funny since I have recently gone through bankruptcy and don't owe a dime to anyone... I will not be returning their call for any reasons. This has to be a scam to get personal info...

No, this is a scam to get money from you.  Read my other post and take the information to your bankruptcy attorney to handle as this attempt to collect a debt is illegal.

Person asked me to verify my birth date then my address. Asked me to verify my name, wanted to know if I had received their letters. When I asked what Wakefield was, (the name of the company caller gave) that's all the info she gave, then hung up.

Yes, they don't send letters out as per federal law.  See my post above and use that information to your advantage.

They Want to verify my husband address and ss number for their business. I asked him what's kind of your company? But he cant answer me , he just want to verify add and will move on next steps but i say that is not correct my add then i hang up. They. Are trying cheating on me several times.
