- BernieCaller said that he was from RBC insurance trying to sell me life insurance. I let him talk for a bit, asked me questions like are you a resident of Canada? Are you married? Do you have a cheque or savings account with us? then I stopped him. I said if you were actually from RBC you would have all the info you needed. This is bull----. Not interested then hung up.
The man was ready from a script and he wasn't doing a good job. I believe that this is a scam and I will contact RBC in the morning- Caller: 1-844-818-0619

- Brian CalgaryI just received a call from these guys. Let it go to voicemail and they didn't leave a message. I find if it is a legit call, they would leave a message. Obviously this isn't legit.

- Marie replies to Another MeWe were getting up to 4 calls a day even on Saturday saying they were from RBC. They didn't want to talk to me, just to my husband who, on the 9th call, took the phone. They started asking him personal information and when he asked them what info they had on him, they said they couldn't reveal it. I told them I was going to check with the bank manager and they said to go ahead and do so as the bank would refer them back to me which was a pile of crap. They said the only way they would stop calling is if they talked to my husband again. We have had two more calls since then. Same number.
- long dayThey claimed to be calling from the RBC, so I claimed to be answering on behalf of the police fraud squad ....;-p

- ACI could hear multiple voices in the background. There was one snicker from the person who called my cell. When I said hello, they hung up.

- RlafJust got a call from this number, they didn’t pronounce my name correctly so I politely said that who they were looking for was not available, and wouldn’t be for the remainder of the day. The woman said that they would call at a more convenient time. She hung up, and within 1.5 minutes they called back. This time it was a man, this time he pronounced my name correctly. So I told him that someone had just called within the last minute, and that I suggest taking this number off their calling list. He hung up the phone.

- KaiyaRBC insurance sales. Call up to 6 times a day! Even after asking them to stop. I have a 4 week old baby that they love waking.
PLEASE BE AWARE; Do not give them an address or anything to confirm the identity of who they are talking to, they use that as a cue to sign you up for the "no commitment free trial, cancel any time."
Even if you said no and continue to listen and just confirm who you are listen to the wording carefully something along the lines saying okay mr/Mrs.x if you can just confirm your address we can send you an info package for you to look over. And then you're signed up for the "trial" which is virtually impossible unless you have a whole day to waste on hold, or by the time you receive said package your month trial is about to start and you're charged the premium fee for the package.- Caller: RBC

- AhmedSame experience, I received a call from them every two days, they are selling some insurance plan...I always tell them not interested, they keep insisting on selling me their products...
Here are what I noticed:
- all of them have African accent (similar to Nigerian English) very poor English and repeated dialogue.
- fake artificial background noise, to give impression of busy working place , you will never here this at RBC at least not this loud, plus the background noise is used in most of the scam calls.
- not sue how they get my first and last name, but I’m guess they easily could get it from another 3rd party when I used my credit card online.
- they use multiple Voice over IP numbers with same sequence, non of these numbers belong to RBC
Conclusion it’s 100% a scam call, Action to take: Block their number don’t answer or give them any sensitive info- Caller: Scammer pretending RBC

- Richard WeedPersistent caller claiming RBC insurance services. Total scam, blocked on my cell phone but now the calls are starting on my business landline so they must have some kind of call list.

- Myriah PurssI have gotten a call from this number everyday for the last 2-3 weeks. I do not pick up and it goes to voicemail, where often I can just hear chatter in the background, it is silent, or one of the ones was someone clearing their throat. Very frustrating.

- MarieI get several calls a week from this number.. I usually let it go to my answering machine. They never leave a message. I answered once and said nothing and they didn't either. I now know from the above comments who they are.

- Methey called repeatedly over a few days and when I finally picked up it was a person from “rbc” selling insurance. I hung up when they asked about my marital status. I called RBC to check if it was them.. it wasn’t, they don’t have that number registered as them so it’s a scam. DONT GIVE THEM ANY INFO OF YOURS IF THEY CALL YOU. Rbc says if rbc ever calls you, just to be safe, hang up and then call rbc service and say you received a missed call from them, you’re just calling back to check in on what it is.

- East coastI missed the first call, didn't bother calling back. Missed the 2nd call and found this forum. Picked up the 3rd, they have a system where numbers are called and if a voice is registered it'll ring on their end and they pick up. So silence for a minute then the call disconnected since I didn't speak. 4th call=same. I blocked the number on my phone. 5th call went straight to voice mail and a quiet background movement could be heard (approx. 1 minute). 6th time = same-ish. 7th time the voice message was 5+ minutes long, I heard people talking english in the background (couldn't tell if it was accented or not - but that's not a good indicator anyway since RBC does outsource callcenters) and a male voice saying he had a voice mail (me?) and a sandwich (not me). And I heard him eat.
RBC will NEVER ask for banking info over the phone. I'll be talking to my phone service provider to find a way to completely block these calls.- Caller: Unknown number
