- Tampa FL| 1 replyIt is shocking that this number has been up to this scam for years and nothing has been done.
- Caller: scam
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Alfalfa replies to Tampa FLNothing is being done because these criminals are spoofing numbers, their identities and locations, making them next to impossible to trace and prosecute and out of the reach of law enforcement. It also does not help that the phone companies are considered Common Carriers and state they have no choice but to allow the calls to go through.
- Kimberly Henrich| 1 replyI get a call almost weekly from these Microtek guys. I'm battling cancer and half out of it most the time. I may have "dying" written on my forehead, but not "stupid". This one today was from the 855-210-3300 number. After I yelled at him for being a criminal and letting him know we had no Microsoft Windows computer that could have been corrupted, he then started reciting my full address to me. I wanted to know how he got my address, which he started being threatening and told me I was committing a cyber crime by harassing him and he would report me to the police. I was so worked up I told him I'd hunt him down before I take my last breath, just to make sure he got his. I hate criminals like this. HATE them. Someone's got to do something about these people that can obtain our numbers and harass us, but yet the number we see on caller id is a scam number that doesn't work when calling them back.
- Caller: Microtek/Microsoft ~ Bogus
- Pissed-In-Indiana replies to William Mitchel* No more unsolicited calls that should have stopped with signing up on the National Do Not Call List. *
The Do Not Call list works for LEGITIMATE telemarketers. I does NOT, however, work for scammers and others who call your home with nefarious "business". These scammers are almost 100% out of the U.S, and therefore do not even check the list, nor do they care if your number appears there. Most calls are VOIP and robocallers who just wait for someone to say "Hello" or engage in conversation.
Please don't disparage the DNC, as they provide a resource for legitimate callers. Also, the DNC does NOT block calls. - Stupid scammersAs everyone before me has said, got a call from the idiotic scammer claiming he's from itech. Ha! Like we never heard that before. The first time was yesterday with a different number, claiming to be from Microsoft. Smart using a different number, but stupid to use the same excuse. They have the balls to call right back up after I hung up on them. Playing dumb on me about the why. Classic. Keep this up and shame on them cuz karma will catch up on them
- Beeust got a call from the same India man ..telling me he's going to help me fix my computer . Yet another Scam ! He says he's works for Windows, Inc., I told him, yes I've heard about this. Its a scam..he kept talking as I hung up.

- FrustratedReceived a call from this number. My question would be "HOW DO THESE PEOPLE KNOW THAT I HAVE A NEW COMPUTER "? The only thing that I can think of is that this computer is an HP and every time I call with a problem I get someone in India. Coincidence????????
- mikeJust got a all from this number said - "if you are authorized account of this AT& T account press 1" Then it said "your service s in danger of being interrupted. Please have credit card ready to avoid interruption of your service."

- alexI got a call from the number above and also 855-335-7469 yesterday from a john hunter heavy Indian accent said he was with itech alert. Claimed I had a virus on my computer and the government was after me for spreading malicious viruses though the internet. I told him I was no fool I probably knew more about computeres and software than him and I was not going to get on my computer as he instructed to do so right now! I asked him how he got my info, although I already knew how and he gave me some bull about through my microsoft software. When I started to put him through the ringer with questions uncovering his scam he got all crazy and was threating me to come to my house. He was also reported to BBB. Beware the little [***] is very aggressive when you expose his fraud!!

- Susan VJust rec'd a call from this number, and have had at least 10 or 12 calls saying the same thing, that this is Eric from Microsoft and they have been receiving messages that my system is infected... blah blah blah
- Caller: Microsoft
- vipergrey2 replies to Kimberly HenrichI am sorry to hear you are sick and hope you get better fast.
I am at the point that if I do not recognize the name or number I do not pick up. - Telemarketers = Idiots. replies to Sherriem| 1 replyJune 10, 2015 for me @ 7:10 P.M. CT.
- Sherriem6/15/15 10:44 PDT Don't know what possessed me today. Usually no ID draws no response from me, but for some reason I answered and got an indian male saying he calling from I-Tech and the rest of the message was the same thing as Susan V. I rudely told the creep that he was "out of his mind" and hung up on him. Slap my hand the next time I attempt to answer an unidentified call. We need a better category to describe these calls. They are not pranksters and they are not telemarketers. They are crooks and scammers!

- Tom RNoticed the call coming in with Caller ID "Toll Free 1-855-210-3300". Let it ring thru to Voice Mail. No message left. Just for grins, I called the number back, expecting an automated system. Instead a live person answered. He gave no company name or ID. He just answered "Hello." I asked "What company is this?" Instead of answering the question, he just starts into a spiel about how my "computer just called him". I cut him off in mid-sentence; and told him I wanted my number put on his Do-Not-Call List. He completely ignored that request. Instead, he tried continuing his spiel about how my computer has a problem. At which point, I just hung up on him.
He hasn't tried calling back since then (about a half hour ago now). But if he does, his Caller ID number has now been added to my Call Block list; so he can automatically get hung up on now without my assistance.- Caller: No company name provided

Anyways, I hope they consider themselves BLOCKED the next time they even CONSIDER calling us, only because I refuse to buy into their blatant scheme and will not be putting up with their fecal matter any further than I already have.
