- PISSEDSame as everybody elses calls except he was talking to my stepdad first and thought he had a sucker on the line...until I got on the phone with him...he told me all the same BS and I was like "I don't know you...why would I not get an email about my computer and why would I think anything is wrong with it " and he said "Cause I just told you" I mean...really? So I told him what I thought about it and hung up! Do you know he called me back just to say "You're a [***]"! LOOK PAL people are just not as dumb as you apparently think they are so you really need to get a new job!

- IanGuy called me with the same scam. I asked how my computer was calling him and what his domain was. He said it was 'secret'. I laughed and called him a scam. He got pissed and called me back 5 times. I just hung up. How about that ?
- DorothyA man with a heavy accent called my mom today and told her the computer was downloading malicious information and her computer was being controlled by someone else. I did a three way call to the number and the man answered said he was with a company called I-Tech and told me that her computer had a virus and it had been taken over. I asked him twice how did he get her number he finally stated from Equifax the credit reporting company. I told him I would be calling them next, he kept trying to tell me about her computer he still kept trying persistent little SUCKER, until I finally told him I was a computer information technology major and worked for an Attorney and that I was contacting the Attorney General Office. I am so glad that my mom called me, hope no one believes this man. SCAMMER!
- CL GeignerI called them back and someone answered. They said they were calling about the virus, and I said, no, I called you and now I can trace the call. And you're in trouble. Next time they call, tell them you called them...

- Not SurprisedABSOLUTE SCAM!
I get calls from these folks at least 5 times a day. Same thing as all the others ... 'I'm "insert American name" from I-Tech, calling because your computer is telling us it has a virus.' I got tired of them calling today, so I handed the phone to my 2 year old, and let him wander around the house with it. "Joe" sure got an earful. I may have to rethink this strategy when my kiddo starts talking in complete sentences, but until then at least it takes up some time, and keeps the robo-dialer from someone who may be less adept about their computer.- Caller: ITech

- ElizabethI have repeatedly gotten calls from several different numbers over a period of years, all from a man with a strong Indian accent who uses different first names. He tells me he works for a technical support company affiliated with Microsoft and they are getting error messages from my computer. The first time this happened I told him I don't have a Windows computer and told him he ought to be ashamed of himself making a living by scamming people. He returned insults, profanity (real filth) and verbal abuse. I laughed at this, told him he can't shock me, I can outswear him in my sleep and let him have it with both barrels. He has been calling again recently and has switched tactics - very smooth and clever - I can see how people might fall for this. Today I played along in hopes of getting more info. He told me that my firewall has been breached and my confidential info compromised. I told him I had switched on my computer as he requested (I hadn't). He "guided" me to identify my Windows key, at which point I told him I don't have a Windows keyboard. He said, "Oh, you have a Mac computer?" I said yes. He disconnected the phone call.
Here are the recent calls:
06/23/15 5:32 PM Seattle, WA 1-206-237-0127 "This is Don - I'm calling about your Windows computer." I told him I don't have a Windows computer and asked him to take me off their list. He said he would. But he didn't…

- jbhgSecond call from this number claiming to be Windows tech telling me my computer is being hacked by Monte. Told to connect to www.itechalert.com to verify the problem. Refused. He then wanted to connect me to windows. Refused and hung up. The sad fact is that he had my phone number and verified my address, though I refused to confirm. BE CAREFUL! 855-210-3300 IS NOT YOUR TECH!
- KrisUnfortunately, I fell for this crap!! I do not know how to fix it! I was told tonight that their was an error in payment and they didn't receive it. Due to the inconvenience, the amount was no longer $392.95, it's now $350.00. I now needed to go to Western Union and wire cash ASAP! I said the funds were already sent via check according to my bank account and I would check with the bank in the morning. He told me that that payment was no longer valid because it had to be sent tonight via Western Union. I refused. I will have the bank put a stop payment on the check in the morning. But they have already accessed my computer, so I'm not sure what to do about that now. How can I fix that??

By the fifth call, I wasn't polite any more and gave him a piece of my mind and turned off my ringer. Could see on caller id that he called back another 9 times! What an arrogant jerk!
- Sandy replies to SandyOops...should be "another 5 times".
