Just received a call from a foreign sounding person saying Microsoft has be receiving error messages from my PC. then he said before he went further he wanted to have me write down his name and phone number. I told him I didn't believe he was from Microsoft and he remarked, "Why would I be giving you my name & phone number if I wasn't from Microsoft." I just hung up on this scammer.

Knowing this is a scam, I told him I had an Apple....hopefully he will take me off his list.

Just got a call from a young man.  Had foreign accent, India, Middle Eastern, not sure.  He said he was calling about my computer.  I replied that I didn't know him and didn't know why he was interested in my computer.  He said ok and hung up.

receive calls from this number over and over throughout week. I never answer. I hate having my home invaded by these callers.

Got three of these calls. Strung the idiot out for about 20 minutes (I was bored) until I dropped the M-bomb on him and asked if the problem was the same on a Mac? Couple of 4 letter words later, he hung up. Caller ID said Toll Free.

Caller said I had a Windows computer infecting his server, but I do not. I asked to remove my number from his call list and hung up. He called right back and said I can't hang up on him, and I must deal with his issue. I said I would call the police if he called back again and hung up. So far no more calls...

I filed a complaint at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

Got the second call from them today.  When I told him to remove the number he said "but don't you want the computer service?".  
"What service?"
"The one you paid for."
"When?"
"Last Month"

I flat out called him a liar, a scammer, a fraud and insisted they remove the phone number.  Time will tell.  

Caller from 855-210-3300 with similar lines to those above . . . got me to log onto showmypc.com . . . and wanted me to open up my computer so he could check for malware . . . I balked at that . . . and ended the conversation. He assured me that he was legitimate - even had me checkmicrotec support llc under sumbiz.org, etc.

Figured it was a scam, but played along going through the keystrokes to see window's event viewer. Told me the "errors" indicated that I was receiving viruses, etc. I waited to see what was next. After a few moments I asked what he/she (couldn't tell) wanted me to do. He/she said just wanted me to know, that's all. I ended it and hung up.

Perhaps they're just trying to set me up and they'll call again with a suggestion to buy or do something.

Too bad people use their time and talents to make the world a little worse instead of a little better.

My caller had an voice from India and said his name was Ricky Sylvester.  He wanted to take remote access of my computer as Microsoft has been notified that my computer has some Malware or Virus and they can clean it out completely for no charge.  I told him over and over I was not interested and he insisted on telling me that I don't understand this is a service from Microsoft Operating Systems and we are here to help Microsoft users.  He was so insistent I finally hung up. They have called from 855-210-3300, 239-247-5552, 855-593-3163.  All these numbers are the same person.

This number called us "from Microtech support" and said "since you are receiving a lot of errors to a public domain, I am calling you to tell you that I am here to support". He gave his name as Jeff Scott, his call back number was 239 247 5552.  This call back number worked, but I found this site.  When I explained to "Jeff" (thick Indian accent) about this site, he was laughing it off. I told him that he "can't call me back, take my number off the list, I am a techie who understands what he is saying" he was laughing. He responded, "no I can call you back". He said he was one of the "supervisors" too.

He called back one more time. And I just put the handset down without responding.

Person with Indian accent told me he was calling from MicroTech about a report he was getting that I had downloaded malicious software onto my computer. I told him I did not know who he was or why he was calling but not to call again. We both hung up.

caller claimed to want to get into my computer

I just got a call half hour ago in the same manner as you guys indicated above. Name was Hispanic, but with a very strong Indian accent. I asked him to give me his number and I will call him back instead (855-221-4867). I want to know how to do the call forward of specific number to another number. I thought that works only on all calls you get.

Man identified himself as Andrew Martin (but had a very heavy accent). When I told him I knew what he was up to he vehemently denied any wrongdoing. I asked him to take our number off his list and hung up.

Same line.....trying to get money from me thinking I was elderly.  Asking me questions and telling me corrupt file on my computer but did not know if windows operating system on my computers.  SCAM 855-210-3300

Just got that very call n gave him time to mess with my computer. I don't know what to do.

I received the same call from Middle eastern accent man. Same story. I'm worried because I did what he asked me to, now I don't know what to expect.
