- Robert replies to carol| 3 repliesHe just called me five minutes ago! He claimed to be from Microsoft and that he's been receiving error messages. I just stayed in silence and he thought it cut off. It's strange how he didnt call back. Damn scammers.

- MikeScam call. Mine came in today at about 7:00 PM. Claims to be contacting me because of error reports from my computer saying I've god some bad virus that needs to be corrected.
From what I have found, it's a scam that has been continuing for some time now. - SusanExact same thing today, June 20, 2014. Same number. He said he was from "I Tech Technologies" so I guess they are starting up again with a different name! Sounded foreign, not sure about him being Indian. The last time they called, a couple of months ago, they claimed to be Microsoft technicians (as someone said below) and my husband managed to make him admit he was calling from Afghanistan! Unbelievable.
- Caller: I Tech Technologies
- Finis replies to jcI got the same call
- Maureen OlsenIndian male claiming to represent Micro-soft having received a message that my computer had dangerous errors.
- Caller: micro-soft windows
- RobertThe scam continues. I wonder if the people who call really know the group behind them is a scam or they are just making the contacts for the scammers
- Caller: Supposedly Microsoft but not
- ChuckReceived obvious scam call from this number about my computer and my Microsoft operating system giving errors. I tried to lead him on with some specific questions, but he got belligerent about my not wanting help. What he didn't know as we have MAC and Apple Products, so his ability to see errors on my Microsoft system would be IMPOSSIBLE.
Don't fall for this!! - Not fooledReceived call from "unknown name", phone number 855-210-3300; asked for me by name and told me they'd received information that "bad" things had been downloaded to my computer. I told him that I was on the do-not-call list and that I knew this to be a scam -- he was in violation of FCC laws. He argued and kept asking me who told it it was a scam. I repeated that he was in violation of the do-not-call list, told him to take my phone number off of his list and said I'd report him if he ever called again ... he then said "f*^k yourself in the mirror."

- Midwestern USAThis scammer is still alive and well and just called me trying to say he was "my" Microsoft technician. I was just recently reading about this scam so I told him immediately he was a scam and I would be reporting him to the FCC. It was definitely an east indian accent and he was still in the process of saying "no" when I hung up.
- Caller: SCAM
- CarolThey have called three times. They said it was high tech. We hung up, they called back again and said "I'm sorry we were disconnected"
- KKThis same number called me and said he was from the Treasury Dept in Washington, DC. Said I had been chosen to get a grant for 8400.00 that didn't need to be paid back. Scammer had an Indian accent.
- KennysI received the same phone call. Said his name was Shawn. He had an accent, and he was calling from I Tech Alert. He said I had a malicious virus on my computer. He wanted me to open my computer, and he would show me how to get rid of it. I hung up on him.

They will only now ask for my grandfather, 88 + years of age and who has no knowledge of computers at all really.- Caller: Hindu Call Center Scammer LLC
- DAR| 1 replyThe east-Indian sounding man called me with the same BS. I obtained another phone number: 855-494-4164 from him and then told him I would report him to the FCC. Alas, both the 855-210-3300 (showing up in my phone's call list) and 855-494-4164 are 800 numbers. However, some reports here indicate that someone might reply if they are called back. It would be nice if the FCC would actually follow up on this, but what are the chances? Probably not good. :(
The real shame here is the older, non-digital-friendly demographic that might fall for the scam.- Caller: Microsft Support scammer

- Scott MartinA male called and spoke with my wife, telling her he is a Microsoft Certified Technician and they were receiving error reports from our computer. First, we don't own a Windows computer or any Microsoft products, so this was simply false. Second, when she started asking him direct questions, such as which computer and what is name is, he hung up on her. I called the number and spoke, based on her description of his voice, to the same person. I asked to speak with his supervisor and he said he was the person in charge. I explained that he was violating the Telephone Privacy Act and that I was going to report him. He hung up on me as well.
