Call them and let them know that “FORMAL COMLAINTS HAVE BEEN FILED AGAINST THEM AND THAT WE NEED TO KNOW THEIR WHEREABOUTS!” !!! I live in an eldarly community and they even had my sons voice! God help their karma!!!!

I have been getting several phone calls from this number in the past 2 days. The automated man says that his name is John Lewis and he is looking for someone who isnt me and if i have any information on this person to contact their office immediately. however, he doesn't tell you what office it is that you need to contact.

John Lewis called my cell phone and my home phone today, with the same message.  'formal complaint filed' (then recording says a name which is both my son's & ex- husband's name). Also said, if whereabouts known call this office at, (#855-303-5660), or the proper authorities will be notified. I'm sick of these people and their scams.

A man said he was looking for my ex wife but used her maiden name. It sound like he said he would call the proper authorities if I don't call him.

Received the same message.  Yes,  they are calling other family members too.

Agreed. It's a scam. It started exactly how you described. This guy left the same message on my work phone. I had to ask our HR to listen to it. She thinks it's a scam, high fraud alert.

This person has been harassing me each and every day.  They have gone as far to contacting family and friends having them thinking I am in some type of trouble.

I tried to file a complaint at consumerfinance.gov but none of the selections fit this category..he did not say he was after me for a loan, he made it sound like a criminal matter. Advice?

John Lewis called about (automated voice stating person's name). Formal complaint against this person. Looking for information on person before sending to authorities. Called to have number removed. Have no info on person they were looking for. They called 2 numbers of mine. First call to have my number removed, the man told me "no and [***] you." Called back again, the woman who answered apologized and would have my number removed. The woman said the company was GAFS, a recovery support/mediation company.

I also get this call saying they are looking for my mom. I save the messages and have the same guy saying his name is John Lewis in one but months ago said his name was Mark Wallace.

This is NOT a debt collector.. I contacted the attorney general's office in my state, and it is a high-alert SCAM. They are trying to extort money on false claims. In the span of twenty minutes they called many of my family members, who all live out of state. This [***] HAS TO STOP!

This is a debt collection scam.  I wouldn't worry about it because it isn't a criminal matter.  You can put that in later in your description of the call.  You can probably put down almost anything just to get to the next section.

This # or similar #/company has called me multiple times over the past year. Each time they are looking for same person (distant relative). This person has had questionable debt history, and would not be the first time a debt collector has called me over many years seeking this same person. I guess they conduct an internet search, and keep finding me as a potential relative. I have blocked their # from home and cell. Will check out the DO NOT CALL registry too.

Yeah same here they called me after school and said I complaint was filed against my mom..

John Lewis is a busy jack ass...you would think these people would at the least pick someone who speaks English....

Yes, John Lewis is fraudulent. Got the same call as everyone else. Works for a “phantom debt buyer” and “skip tracing” to see if he has a current phone number. Empty threats are used in hopes you will call back. Blocked.
