They  called my placed of work (a financial institution) and asked for a name which I couldn't understand, and threated to call authorities. I called back and a woman answered stating she couldn't find our number in her "data base." I told her this was a bank, and asked who the company was. She stated they were a "Mediation Company." She has been asked to not call back. We will deal with fraud daily, and this is FRAUD.

Answered the phone and listened to one garbally computer voice say they were looking for (insert another computer voice) someone (my married sister!), and that they need to get in touch with that someone before they call the authorities . When I called the number back to inquire about the business, a woman, with a Jamaican accent, said the business was GASF and that they were a mediation company that helps resolves complaints before they go to court. She told me that my phone number comes up associated with the person that they are looking for, and asked if I was that person. I told her I never heard of the person they were looking for. I asked what kind of complaints were filed, and she told me that she could not tell me because she did not know who she was speaking to. I told her, "Good Luck in finding (my sister). You'll never find her!"  Then I hung up.
I decided to call the number back from my cell phone and block the Caller I.D., and guess what?!  I got a recorded voice telling me that the mailbox was full and they could not accept any calls.  But the minute Caller I.D. is re-established, the call goes through.

How do you get these calls to stop?  I know you can block them from cell phones, but what about landlines.

BEWARE!!! They said they had a complaint filed against me didn't say why,  and  Identified themselves as "John Lewis" didn't say what or where they were calling from.. and that they would take action if "my recorded name" did not respond but the upsetting part is  two members of my family who don't even live in the same state as me became very scared and worried because they called them too...Not cool..Not calling them back and blocking the number  all my bills are paid I have no debts chasing me or no grounds for bogus complaints against me .  Nonetheless They should not harass family member so not cool.

I just cannot believe this stuff happens! I am debt-free, so I don't understand why they are targeting me?

thank you Big for some great advice..will do ..I get scam likely calls on a daily basis and I am NOT going to change my number I have had it tooo long.  It really crosses the line when they start messing with your job or they upset family members .

I received same computer message but the person being looked for was Deborah Walsh. Not me and I know if no one by that name. I’ve gotten this call twice now

Same fake robocall that everyone else is getting, only the text-speech name is someone I've never heard of before.

I keep getting these calls but I dont know the person they are asking about.

And they just called me at work again! Ugh! They are calling my family as well..even my ex mother-in-law! WTF!!!!

Said he was looking for a family member because he had a complaint against her. Baited for whereabouts and personal info.

Its a scam caller many complaints on the web about this number and they are calling my family members.
