Sounded like a skip tracer. Switching back and forth between between two voices but looking for the brother of an ex-employee. Called from one number, call back number is a different one. In any case, hung up without saying anything and blocked number.

Exactly... same thing happened to me. I just laughed because it doesn’t even sound believable.

My husband, a friend, and I are all receiving calls from a John Lewis stating this is his office number to return his call. He is looking for my father and states that a formal complaint has been filed against him and he will be reported to the authorities. The actual number that shows up on caller ID is 877 826-9760.

John Lewis called my brother then me too right after. It’s a scam. With all the technology today you would think there would be away to stop these scammers.

Called my mom's house and said complaint filed against my husband and if she knew where he was to contact authorities

Got the same call every one here did, from John Lewis. This a  illegal collection who purchases very old debt (uncollectable debt) and threatens with police, courts, even jail. It's all a scam. Repot any calls to FTC, FINANCE DEPARTMENT, ATTORNEY GENERAL.

I get this call every day .. John Lewis looking for Brandon Mason. Voice mailbox is always full. I don't know how to get them off my landline.

Is there a way we can file with FBI to go after them?  I have tried calling them back an telling them to call 202 324-3000.  This way they can get in touch with the FBI and have themselves on record.

Everyone on this chain, give them 202 324-3000 to call.  I am sure after a few calls to the FBI, they will think about these nonsense calls.

I just called them back and told them to call 202 324-3000.  The first guy said that is not necessary.  The second lady said we will remove your number.

I got a call from this number as well.  Also a friend of mine from facebook got the call saying they are looking for me.

I received this call today so did my Mom. These scammers need to be stopped! Saying John Lewis and there is a complaint.

Call comes in from 800-Services on the caller id with the phone number of 877-826-9760.  Caller says (in a Recorded Message) that his name is John Lewis calling regarding a formal complain against ______________(my daughter) and that name is also computer inputted by a different voice.  Then says "If you know the wereabouts of ____________(name) let them know OR; they will contact the proper authorities"  The number that is given to call back is different and is 855-303-5660.  They have been calling my house everyday this week.

WOW, Really? Scam!Scam! Scam!!!

I am getting a call from this number several times a day as well as one of my family members looking for me I have no bills

My daughter got the same exact call asking for my husband. Seriously irritating!

I got the same call today from a person calling himself John Lewis also, stating that there was a formal complaint against me and that they would be contesting the authorities next. They called my mother this morning before they called me.
