How do u block the number

This number called and left a voicemail.  It started on Nov. 13, 2017.  I pretty much knew it was a scam because it sounds like whoever is leaving the voicemails is using a voice changing device.  I filed a complaint with the FTC.

I get these calls about every 3 months.  Always about a payday loan.  I tell them there is nothing on my credit report about this pay day loan and their reasoning is that they well we just haven't reported it yet.  [***]!!

Same as everyone else.  John Lewis calling, re: a complaint against some name i have never heard of, spoken by a computer voice.

Of course you can all block them. Tell everyone in your family to block unknown phone numbers. In fact, if you don't know anyone in the area codes the calls are coming from, block the entire area code.

With a call blocking device or app.

Pretty much saying that I received a loan online and that their looking for a payment or they will sue me. I never in life received a loan online

I get this call once a year around the holidays🤔. It’s a total scam. Unfortunately this is now the 3rd year they call me or my family looking for me.

This number left a similar message with my sister looking for me. Same number called an aunt in the sane state as well. Funny thing is I never used my sister or aunt's number as reference for anything, so how is this "person" getting numbers of contacts I don't even speak to much? I have no outstanding debt to be collected, and if I did the approach being used by these idiots is not in accordance to the law.

Called say if I knew family member. Contact them and called back 3 times got hung on when I ask how they got my number they are scammers trying to rip people they need to go get jobs

I received call from this number but didn’t answer. No message was left. Then the same number called my daughters friend and left message asking for me by my whole name. Friend called number back since they asked for me and was told that he was listed as contact number for me. Completely fraudulent! Said they wanted to register a complaint with my office. Ha! I work for the district attorney! Hope they do call back!

I just received the exact same call

They called me looking for my husbands X wife.... like how the Hell did you get my number? when I told them she was locked up they said thank you. but when I asked how they got my number they hung up really fast.... how did they know I knew that person with out me giving my number nothing of her's is under my name or anything.

Received a very garbled message from someone who said he was John Lewis calling for someone that I know, and that a formal complaint has been made against them and that I should contact him immediately at 855 303 5660 to report their whereabouts or the authorities will be called.  REALLY???? The person's name was inserted via a computer and not spoken by the same voice.  There was no company identified....only this farce of a threat. I am so sick of these types of people....it's amazing that everything can be regulated but for some reason they have a very difficult time regulating these telephone scam artists.  It's really ridiculous!!!

Same as everyone else.  My wife got the same message asking for me.  I blocked the number.  I always get curious, so I may call them back and do what I do when I call the scammers back: laugh at them and let them know that I know they are full of B.S.

I have Mister Number and for some reason they still get through the block

I got a text from my mother. She got the same call that I got, looking for me, so they probably are calling family members because they did with me

For 2 day’s I have had calls about my “non-existence “ student loans, “credit card rates” and now the piece of work! I have had my number on a DO NOT CALL list for at least 4 years, this is my cell number and my only number which I can not have changed (not that would help) because it is associated with 2 many important things. It’s a shame our Government can’t protect its citizens from people like this. I have also had my info compromised on 3 breaches of companies that are supposed to trustworthy........ Now this person is looking for “**** and if I don’t call back with info they will contact the proper authorities. Same as what everyone has stated.
