- Sara1-229-223-5185 for Humana to send nurses to my home for checkups?!! If this is really Humana, among other things I think they probably have come up with some deal with this company, trying to spend the 80% on healthcare cost mandated by the new healthcare law. This is so they do not have to send you a check for the extra premium you have been paying them every month.

- April1800-579-5210 - received a call from Humana. The lady said there is a new free of charge program that we are enrolled in but could cancel at any time. What? A case manager will be assigned to us and everything goes through this case manager. I said I wasn't interested. She continued to say that we must answer a few questions so the case manager will call themselves and we could share our concerns. I agreed. Question 1 - for your age, would you consider yourself in good shape, fair shape or poor? I said we are done!!!
For those of you out there who think this may be ok. It is not ok. Medical statements like that are between doctor and patient. Goodbye Humana!- Caller: Humana
- Ms m replies to StellaDo these calls pertain to ex military only?
- RalphI blocked the first number they were calling from then they started from this number daily sometimes several times a day. I finally called the number they left and told them take my number off the list we will see...
- Faby JeffersonI received a call from someone claiming to be from Humana. Nothing but the no. showed up on my phone but, when I checked my vm it was someone leaving her name (Emily) number and ext.3789. I called and it wasn't from Humana. They didn't even answer the phone saying: Humana. I can't remember what was said but I do know, I was transferred to an answering machine. NOT..

- Humana agent| 3 repliesThis is actually a real, no-cost service provided by Humana. I know some clients think they get way too many calls from Humana, but there is no cause for concern over this one. I have had several clients who have taken advantage of this, and were glad they did.
- Caller: Censeo Health for Humana
- Question replies to Humana agent| 1 replyInteresting. People look things up because they want to know more or because they simply don't know. Yet you knew everything there is to know about this phone number but looked it up anyway. Now why would you do that?
Did you do it just top come here and try to convince people that these calls are legit? - Steve replies to KristiCalled Humana, this is part of their plan that sends Physician from CenseoHealth to do a health assessment at your home.
- DonThanks to everyone for the info. I to received a call from someone purporting to be from Humana to set up a home visit with a doctor, Caught me by surprise. after reading this I'm going to cancel my appointment. People's health here I come.

- Mary replies to SHK| 1 replyI keep getting these calls too ...already told them I dont need their "evaluation" and I Never allow strangers in my home. But they keep calling. I knew it was some sort of scam or just an excuse to invade my privacy. No way .. No how!!
- BigA replies to MaryI had the same problem with my insurance company. They kept wanting to send a nurse over. I told them several times that I wasn't interested (it was a third party call center). So one day I answered and the girl started her speech. I stopped her and told her in no uncertain terms that I wasn't interested, that they should stop calling me, that they should put me on their DNC list, and that if they continued to call the next conversation we would be having would be in front of a judge hearing about TCPA violations. They haven't called back since.
- JJI didn't get this particular call, but I just wanted to comment on the insurance company practice (mine wanted to send a company called Matrix into my home to assess me--it was very confusing because they said they were my health company, they were not, they called with a robocaller and if I didn't happen to get the phone, I didn't know where to call back or whether it was important). The point of it for them, as I understand it, is something about making sure they have all your diagnoses on file, because they do not believe your doctor can put in the right billing codes.
I think health insurance companies' time would be better spent trying to work out how to make things easier for the overworked docs, than pushing into patient's homes and making patients take up time to explain their entire health history to a new nurse every year (no, you do not get to see the same person from year to year).
I tell them "I would rather have a physical than a wellness exam" and this makes them shut up about how wonderful and helpful for me and my doctor it would be if a nurse came to my home to evaluate me. (Smh: my doctor is great and can assess me just fine, thank you very much.)- Call type: Survey
- PatI have been receiving these phone calls from Conseo, saying I was pre approved for a dr. visit. Since I have blocked all of their numbers, they have now used numbers that you cannot call back. The number always starts with 172 after my area code. This time I actually got angry with the caller, told her not to call again and hung up on her. There is no way to trace a number that starts with a 1. I don't know what type of call you would call this other than harassment.

- rayIf you are using humana medicare advantage the government pays them for the visit. This increases their revenue and profits. They can be quite a pain as they are selling a service and sometimes don't take no for answer. I am called twice a week but never answer these.

- TA replies to CarolGood for you! This is not how home health care works! The patient chooses the agency after prescribed by primary or specialist. This sounds like a huge medicare scam.
- alanonthegoI got message from Luis at "Fallon Senior Plan" looking for my father. Wanted to send a doctor to the house to do a health assesment. I returned the call and told them he has a primary doctor and does not need this. I see it as a way to get information about you they can use to deny claims or benefits. He recently got a letter asking him to call them to schedule this type of doctor visit. I told him not to do, and the agreed.

- Cheri replies to SHK| 1 replyIt sounds to me like Humana sold numbers to these companies, and then work out a deal with them. Humana will pay less, and these doctors get more clients, win/win for them, but all good doctors i know usually arent looking for clients, so i wonder how good theae doctors are...

- annoy-ed replies to CheriThank you so much to everyone who left message before me. I also have Humana Medicare Advantage. "Char" calling "ON BEHALF of Humana," call her back at 855-319-4450, ext 6550. I won't go so far as to call this a scam, but it is a third party working w/Humana to grab some of that already-scarce Medicare money. Don't see it benefiting us, who really need it. When you visit your doctor in his office, he/she is able to treat you better and more thoroughly than anyone who comes to your door!
- Nurse Who calls| 5 repliesHello, I happen to be one of those Nurses that call from an insurance company. Yes, IT'S REAL it is NOT a scam. I do this for a living people, and if a you are not interested in hearing what your Dr does NOT HAVE TIME to tell you, just say NO to the Nurse that is calling from your health insurance company. No they can't deny your claims because you said NO you don't what to participate in the Wellness programs,(Unless your employer says that you do) designed to help you spend LESS TIME in a hospital bed, unless you enjoy being in the hospital time, after time, after time. I really enjoy helping people who are interested in getting as much information about their health condition. Yes, we have to verify that when we call we are speaking to the member and not anyone else as HIPPA requires that we do, so we don't mistaking give your health information out to the WRONG person. Yes, it is a cold call, and Boy do I wish that it wasn't. Everyday our computer systems spit out names of our member's who are having many hospital admissions, and our job to to reach out to THOSE WHO WANT HELP, so again if you don't want the information just say no so that I can move on and call someone that cares about their over all health.
