The Toll Free 855 area code went active in 2000.  It is the same as 800, 888, 877, etc. where the called party (company) is charged for the call rather than the caller (person).  Calls from 855 numbers are NOT going to be billed to you.  BTW - if it is an 855 area code call here, it is most likely a forged number from someone trying to scam you.

Started out saying that this isn't a solicitation which immediately establishes that it actually is.

It amazes me that people still answer these "out of area" and unknown calls.  Legitimate callers will always leave a message or VM.  Calling a number back or pressing keypad numbers will assure the criminal telemarketers that you have a "hot" working number.  Don't answer and don't call back - ever!
Please purchase a blocking device or a blocking telephone - they work and they are inexpensive.  Check Amazon.

We have the entire 855 area code blocked.  Our phones do not ring when these CRIMINALS call.
Please understand that these are CRIMINALS that are calling you.  Have no interaction with them.

CREDIT CARD SCAM - same tired old "because of your on time payments" BS.

This number was used by Kerry to call me, all times of day and night..

There is nothing funny about getting crank calls from an ex. In my case, he can use any number... To call me, but the message remains the same ...

I just monitor my cellular communications device more than I feel that I should have too.
Recived 5 calls from this number in a two day time period.
So, I recorded a quick responce message in German.
Been 2 weeks since I have gotten anymore calls from this number and  quite a few other numbers.
I too love messing with these people. But I don't have the luxury to wait for their calls.
If they want to reach me reguarding a bonifieded offer, then they can mail (via USPS) me a letter.

Thee calls within one minutes from this number to my cell. When I call number back, it states "Number Not In Service". I HATE SPAMMERS!

One call. Looked it up here. Blocked it.
I like the idea of recording an outgoing message in German, but I don't have enough to do it.

This 855-328-6700 is calling cell numbers in Hawaii now, no message or person at their end just silence.

I answered and got a voice message asking me to press 1. I hung up blocking now.
