- Rui| 1 replyThey called me while I was at school and I'm super confused about it
- J L| 2 repliesThis is a collection agency
- So.. replies to J L| 1 reply...what's their name, address, website, if any?
- Robert| 2 repliesA collection agency trying to reach my elderly mother, and got my name instead. They sound legit, but I'm not aware of any new debt on her part; so they may be trying to collect an old debt!
- Call type: Debt collector
- CWG40 replies to Robert| 1 replyID themselves as "Comenity" and claim to be a credit
card finance company. Denied they were debt collectors. Right. - LSmithnever left a message but calls multiple times a day from numbers
- leena| 1 replyIgnore the scare tactics. This collection Agency does seem to really collect for Comenity, an entity that extends store credit (ie: Simply Be). HOWEVER, they use scare tactics, implying they have special powers , need special info right away or there will be a decision against you, that if you have a lawyer for this matter, the one they won't specifically mention, then have your lawyer contact them. I think they skirt around the laws that protect the consumer by implying all sorts of seriousness without ever disclosing which debt one may have and with which store. Annoying.
- bo replies to leenaSame tactics as you encountered ,called sunday at 10:00AM
- hrtI know I have a debt with them but it's rather small and I had already spoken to a representative earlier this week that they can take my money on a specified date yet this number has called me three times in the last two days.
- Caller: Comenity
- Am| 2 repliesCalled saying for my attorney to contact them today, sounding very ominous. It's not me they wanted but my adult son who doesn't live with me. Called on my cell phone. Bordering on harassing. Blocked caller ID. It's a debt collection agency.
- Caller: Never said their company name
- Call type: Debt collector
- B-Edwards replies to AmSounds like a phony debt scammer. Treat with suspicion. Here is a link to some info:

- Caller: ?
- S. LeighThey left me a voicemail. Never said who or what it was about just said that me or my representing attorney needs to contact them today by 3:00pm or they'll take matters into their own hands. It's Comenity bank and yes I do have a Victoria's Secret credit card. And I do pay back everything I spend. So why do they keep calling me and harassing me
- A.MCalled today. The lady identified herself as Mrs. Green. I never did any business with this organization. She was using scare tactics. It's only legitimate if it's submitted to me in writing.
- Caller: Coleman Bank
- Broom FlyerHad late charge, paid it LATE! So a late charge on the late charge! And more late charges on top of it!! Commenity(sic) bank. Called on a Sunday?? Sorry but I keep records & not legal to collect charges on a PAID late charge. I've been collection agent & BK specialist since 78! Bring it on!!
- Caller: Commenity bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- MonicaIt's comenity bank calling saying it's an urgent matter and to have my lawyer call them and if I don't have one they recommend I get one, threatened to take actions that will directly affect me if they didn't hear back from me. Yes I owe them money, I lost my job and am seriously struggling. I am 2 months behind but have told them repeatedly my circumstances and that as soon as I am working again I will be able to make payments.
- Caller: Comenity bank

- adeCalled several times: caller id is 800 Service. Left a voicemail with a name and extension to call refarding an urgent matter. I called them because they believe a stranger to me called Andrea XXXX can be reached here (she has same surname and is connected to a person with almost the same name as mine, excepting middle name - who I traced as erroneously listed as an occupant of my residence, while I am not even on the list despite moving in 2011: reference www.mylife.com)
Comenity bank agreed not to call my number again when I explained how they were not the first of many debt collectors who have been barking up the wrong tree for the past year and with the volume of such calls I felt like I was being harrassed about this stranger's issues (I also had a letter delivered from one of them on this).
It would not surprise me if www.mylife.com turned out to be complicit in this. They will not act to correct the erroneous database to remove two stranger 'occupants' of my residence without someone paying. These strangers, including the one with a debt issue, are both listed again on the same website database at another address in the neighboring 'big city'.- Caller: Comenity Bank
