Blocked.- Caller: Commenity

- CarriLeft a message for a person I don’t know but close enough to my daughters name to be suspicious. Told me I had to call back or she would be forced into submitting “the matter” for further escalation... Whatever that is.
- VivianIt’s a scam. They get a number associated with a person but not the actual person, and try to scare them into paying money that isn’t owed. They called my ex husband (a lawyer) and ended up calling him a really bad name before hanging up on him. He likes when they call.

- Kristi| 1 replyThey called my place of employment. So now I have explain who these people are to my manager. They've called everyone number on my phone plan and send text messages multiple time a day. I've been making payments on my card but since it's not paid in full they threaten me with lawyers and garnishment of my wages.
- Caller: Dustin
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to KristiSomething certainly does not sound right here. You must have left a lot out, because if you are making the payments on the card there is no reason for them to be calling you.
- RobertI've dealt with this company twice before. Once in 2016 and once in 2017. They started calling this week for another phantom debt. (Not owed) or older than 7 years. This is what I did.
Downloaded call recorder from play store. Let them call you and ask them to stop calling you and to validate the debt. If after that they continue to "Harass" you for a debt or threatened you with legal actions against you. This violates the FDCPA. Then Google a attorney that works on consignment and Sue them. I ended up using a lawyer in Chicago when I am from Michigan. Ended up getting $500 times 14 documented calls. Ended up to be about $4200 after my attorney portion but hey it's free money. Typically it's $500-1500 but that's if they use a robo dialer. They straight up called so I got the lesser amount. Did this is 2017. Will be doing it again in 2018. Typically 4-7 months from start to finish. Good luck y'all.- Caller: Comenity

- DebA person identifying herself as Linda Falmer called my mother and left a message threatening dire consequences if my mother did not call her back immediately. The language is obviously that of a collection agency. While my mom has many accounts she is paying on, they are all up-to-date, so I'm pretty sure this is a scam.

- DamitaCalled my part time job on a weekend which I never gave them permission to call yes I am behind on payments but as of now this has moved now to the harassment level and I will be contacting them in writing from this point forward today is August 11 2018 this was the message left at my par time weekend job I started in February of 2018 I have had my credit cards with community bank for three years damita call 855 334 4198 ex 1236359 Tony Lapetra Urgent

- JessicaThey say they are from Comenity Capital Bank (I have an Ulta card) and yet they block their number. THEN she was telling me (via voice mail) how she has come up with a creative way to resolve my issue. Yes i do owe them, but only like $600. I've been sued by a company for payment before ( I owed $2K) - wasn't a big deal and they served me as well as mailed me letters regarding being sued and the options i can take to clear it up instead of going to court and having to get a lawyer. SO, that being said - this seems fishy, especially since the 800 number calls me and leaves a voice mail to call them...AND I have emails from the store to log on to make my payments. The person calling from this "office" because she never referred to a company name.

- NTThese boneheads have been calling me almost daily leaving voicemails for my SISTER who lives 2 hours away. They are Comenity Bank. I threatened them with legal action if they call one more time.
- Caller: Comenity Bank

- GJReceived this call on my cellular voice mail. It came off as a scare tactic to get me to call them back. I know I owe nothing to the company they mentioned nor have I done business with them. Looked up the area code, not realy an area code. However, this area code is used by business in Cambodia; I don't do business with them.

- LisaThis number has called me at least weekly, often daily, for the past several months. Only twice did they mention their name, (it was in the same message) but due to a heavy accent it was difficult to determine what was said. At two different points in this message it sounded as though the woman speaking referred to herself as "Community bank" as well as "Capital One Bank."
After reading above posts it is possible that the woman said "Comenity Bank" the first time, but I still don't understand why she closed the message saying she was from Capital One.
Nevertheless, this number is asking for a person I don't know and continually make ominous threats like "I'm documenting this call as you having been warned... if you don't call back by [this time] we will pursue legal charges"
Nothing has ever come of this and it still sounds like a scam using illegal harassment tactics to me- Caller: 855-334-4198
- Dee replies to So..They are collection agency for comenity bank which has numerous companies they service. Lane Bryant is one
- DeeThey keep calling me for someone named sharon according to the message from a mr.schmidt about a lane Bryant account. Not.me. I'm not Sharon. I don't have account with them. Shame because I've had my number for years. They have an error in their records.

- AmandaThey sent a text to my parents from my phone number. They are trying to collect a debt. Comenity Bank. Going through a debt relief program so they are trying every way to get money out of me and by using my contacts list to text to have this person contact us. This is an illegal tactic for them to use.
- Caller: Comenity Bank

- JesseThey called my 84 year yr old parents saying they owed $$$. My parents dont have anything with comenity bank. These people try this every 6 months. Wrong people, but still trying to collect a debt they say they owed... big time scammers. Usually heavy foreign accent and can only clearly make out the numbet to call THEM
- Caller: Comenity bank?
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- GJHard to understand one of the calls. It sounded like Community Bank representative. I don't do business with them. Also, the name of the person they wanted I am not familiar with at all. Thus, for me, this is a bogus phone call.
