The office of the president?  Cool story, but seems like the long way around.  Not sure if you are one of the many Shills/Trolls in this thread, but I would not trust calls from this number.  I think scammers are spoofing this number, and there are shills supporting this scam.

I would be careful about calls from this number, about what info I offered or confirmed. The best thing to do is call AT&T back on a number you know is correct.

I vote shill. Why else would they look up the phone number when they received a message from the caller & thus already knew who it was?

I have AT&T internet service and have had to have the technicians come out to fix it ("old wiring") seven separate times, tomorrow will be the eighth. While part of me wants to believe this is AT&T calling the phone never rings, it goes directly to voice mail and no one ever leaves a message. AT&T techs always have local phone numbers unique to each tech and legit AT&T calls will leave a voice mail if I miss the call. So far the only thing that supports it possibly being AT&T is that I have an appointment tomorrow morning and that's not enough for me to accept that it's them. I vote scam.

Called yesterday about router they sent to replace my old router, which I had ask for, but router has to large plugs for my old device, I called and they are sending a tech out tomorrow to fix the prob, if they have to replace the wall jack; it will cost me $55.00, plus the 100 for visit if tech wants to charge me that

Again we have someone who clearly knows who called them looking up the phone number. Why? This isn't a review site like Yelp, you know.

Robocall claiming to be ATT asking to take a survey, but first I needed to enter a cell phone number so they could text the questions.
Ha! Yeah right. Scammers. Today they seem to be phishing for more numbers.

I have never done business with ATT for direct TV. Why are they calling me. You don't call someone and ask for personal information. If it looks like a scam, smells like a scam, and walks like a scam...

Didnot answer. They call 2 times a day. Never leave a message.

For me, legit AT&T call from repair providing update on an escalated service request.

I got this call twice this morning had NO idea it was from AT&T who i was actually on the phone with at the time...why does it come up as "potential spam" then??  It should freakin' say AT&T then more people would answer...duh.

If this was ATT calling me ( I just switched internet providers again!) no message was left.  So I doubt it was ATT.  I ignored the call.

Legitimate call from AT&T about equipment. People keep asking why look up the number if you know the caller's identity. In my case, I looked here not realizing a message was recording on my voice mail, then returned to this site once I confirmed the call's validity.

So your call was valid. Doesn't mean all call from this phone number are. Scammers spoof legitimate phone numbers all the time so your return to insist your call was valid does no good.

TygerCat, Of course, it doesn't mean all calls are legitimate. Numbers are spoofed daily. Rather, the call MAY be legitimate and automatically blocking the number could mean missing an important service-related message. No "insisting," only sharing my experience in hopes it might prove helpful to someone.

Multiple calls from this #. No vms left. If this is AT&T, why is it not identified as such? AT&T would have no reason to call me. This is either a scam or phishing

Call was recorded said it wanted us as an AT&T preferred customer to answer questions on a survey sent as text to my phone.  Yeah I didnt want to see if it was legit or not... I dont prefer to do a survey by text on my phone and if they really wanted, they could have someone call and ask permission not a robo call

I called back the number and it connected me directly to AT&T. I don't even have AT&T. wtf
