Who are these people?

Just opened a TD account & startyed recieving these calls.
I am going to close the account because I feel that TD should take care of bussiness & protect their customers.

" 855"    prefix  is  always  from   telemarketers  /  fakes /  scammers  and  related..........., period....

I just opened a savings account with TD bank on thursday, Jan 12, 2011....the number 855-496-4285 called me several times today on my cell, which is the number I provided to TD Bank when I opened the account...I didnt answer any of the calls today, and no voicemail was left..What is going on with TD Bank?  Is this normal practice?

recently i been having calls of this number i pick up no answer 2nd time they call while im at work few times got really annoying want find out who called etc or if its telemarketers . gettin on my nerves im a fido subscriber but lucky im prepaid ...what could this be?...

Keep getting calls from this number no one answers..please stop them

Called asking for an employee who left nearly 5 years ago. When I told her that person was no longer here, she asked for the person in charge of making banking decisions. She identified herself as calling from Greenwich Bank, or something close. I told her to call back another time and hung up.

Seemed very polite, with an American or Canadian accent, but she was so quiet I could barely hear her.

Just got call and I too have the seemingly winning combo here of Verizon and TD Bank.

I got a call today from this number and I am with TDBank but I am AT&T not Verizon. I also just had to give my number to the bank today for a credit app.

What is the sense of the DO NOT CALL registry if all these calls keep getting through? No message is left but plenty of calls are made.  Is there any way to get rid of this harassment?

These people have been calling me for two days, and never leave a message. They are really starting to annoy me. How do i make it stop?

I have received numerous calls from this number and then they hang up.  Please consider this a complaint and stop calling my cell.

Called a business line.  Said they're from TD and that it's regarding a clients "last visit to the branch".  Wouldn't discuss further information.  Told them that I would require additional information for example the specific branch that he visited.  I also mentioned that their number has been linked with fraudulent behaviour but the caller Nikki couldn't tell me anything more.  

Very fishy...

That is not true... the owner of the 855 number pays for the call.

They called my cell phone yesterday, I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

They call at least once a day.  Leave the answering machine on and they do not even listen to the message.  They just disconnect.

I received a call from the following numbers, 855-496-4285;1-800-505-5525; and 1-5198001200, they are all scams that are trying to get banking information. When I asked how they got our number they simply hang up. I wish that someone would put a stop to these individuals and companies. Other interesting fact is that I don't have a Bank of Montreal account.
