Got this call twice in less than 24 hours.  Woman on the line asked for my name and I asked what it was regarding.  She stated that it was about floor planning so I cut her off saying I'm already floored with another company and don't need any.  She immediately started saying, "no....wait....no...wait" and I hung up.

Received Verizon cell phone number 10 months ago.  Immediately started getting calls from collection agencies, etc. looking for JIM DAVIS, who previously had the phone number I had now been assigned. Filed formal complaints with the FCC for each caller, and the calls ended about 5 months ago.. until last night's call from 855-496-4285.  I blew up on the female representative and told her I am not Jim Davis and to never phone me again, for any reason.  I then tried phoning her back, but she'd apparently anticipated my move and put a block on my return call so all I would get was a "busy signal'.
Today, I managed to get an answer.  Recorded message claimed they are "CORE ESSENTIALS" an opinion research company that gathers info about spending habits via telephone interviews. Clever cover, eh?
My brother is a private investigator, who will provide me with further details (their address, corporate registration info, etc.).
I will then file an FCC complaint against them, once I have the info.  The added info isn't really necessary to file a complaint, but it helps the FCC investigators do their job.

I just noticed the post by "Former TD Customer" on Oct. 25th, providing their info.

They do follow up: they've contacted me several times regarding my prior formal complaints.

they called twice today on my cell phone~my phone also only rings about 3 times...I don't answer these calls since I have no clue who they are...I sure want this to stop!

Fiance recently got a td account and these "folks" have been calling since.
They called daily for a few days. I picked up one time and when they said something about td bank I said "no way" and hung up.
Now theyre calling every hour!
I know for a fact he didn't sign up with my phone number either. On AT&T.

This company calls repeatedly and never leaves a message.

THE  " 855"  PREFIX     was  released   well over  a  year  ago !!!      please  note  that  almost  " anyone"  can  use"  it...........  the  bulk   99.9999  %   using  it  are   fraud  artists ,  scammers ,  criminals and  related.......

tip:

Got a call claiming to be from TD bank. An obvious phishing scam.

I got calls from this number but never a message.

It happend the same with me and they said they r doing a survey... and answered a long long questionnaire...
I answered sincerely but now scared wht they r gonna do with this...

Just received a call from this number. I didn't answer it but googled the caller ID number and gratefully found these comments. Not sure if there is any connection but I just used the Red Box to rent a DVD, which I haven't done in a very long time, maybe it has something to do with the call.

I thought the do not call list would put a stop to this.

Area code 855 is a future area code reserved for toll-free calls in which the calling party is not charged. Instead the telephone carrier charges the cost of the call to the called party.

This number called our company today.  He insisted that he was calling from "General Electric" and was very rude. He called twice and insisted to speak with a specific high level executive, when I told him that wasn't possible he argued with me and then stopped talking...probalby waiting for me to hang up on him which I would never do.  This caller is bogus.

Just read an article that reads that You will be billed for the call.

Got a call 3 times today from 855-496-4285. I just reorder checks yesterday @ TD Bank. I don't know what these losers want.

I just got a call from 855 496 4285 - 8pm on a Monday night!  They did not leave a message...

Had the exact thing happen to me but I hung up when they said my name wrong.  I did not recognize the number, so I'm glad I hung up.  TD Bank and Verizon are also things I have in common with this annoyance.  Beware everyone.
