These jokers called with a new scam, instead of telling me my computer was infected they told me that the license key of my Windows has expired.  Why doesn't the phone corporations do something to these scammers instead of profiting from the number of garbage scams that they run. Also why does this site not allow you to say that the call type was a scam?

Voicemail said MS key had expired and something about Windows. (I don't have either) - this after I clicked on a link yesterday from an online news story and got a pop up blasting "Warning warning" that was saying the same thing - obviously a scam. I don't know if they somehow got my phone number.

Message left by some woman says they work for Microsoft and my computer keeps calling them saying it has a virus.  Wow, hard to believe people fall  for this crap but my mom did and paid them over $400 to fix her computer! Nothing was wrong with it!  She is an elderly woman that is disabled and uses her computer to keep in touch with the outside and with family members.  Same on this scum balls!

I found this post after they called my cell this afternoon. I think this is a prank call because Windows license key never expires. Even my old computer that has Windows Vista works just fine.

Got a call this morning regarding my expiring security key to Microsoft Windows--robocall, telling me to dial another 855 number (didn't have anything to write it down) I got suspicious with calls like this, so glad that I checked here.  Microsoft stores have IT services, if you get a virus, you can bring it in, and they'll remove it, or tune it up.  Some services are free.  The only problem is that you need to leave it in their shop for about a week.
