- Neither... replies to Falling Waters..is your comment useful or entertaining...
- Chicago Ed replies to Scammer HaterVery impressive. I'd load the numbers on to my call blocker but it only holds 80 numbers. I maintained a spreadsheet of spoof scam numbers but stopped after 800. Too tedious a task when the calls come at three and four a day. Thanks for the good work. Sadly, save for a list of numbers, it won't do much good to stop/prosecute.
- Go Awayhung up before I could mess with them
- FrankFurterIt just cycles through the recording for me, then eventually hung up...

- RobynOne of those "congratulations on your excellent payment history" offers where this telemarketing company can get me "reduced interest rates on my credit card balances." This company uses many different numbers. I have pressed 3 to be taken off the list but they continue to call. I pressed 1 and asked why they continue to call using different numbers. The person on the other end said just don't answer your phone & hung up on me. I am on the do not call list for whatever good that does.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- NickRep just hung up on me. Report this to National Do Not Call Registry and FTC.
- DeeThey called cell, registered on Do Not Call List. Did not answer, did not recognize number. Thanks for all the info.
- tonyAnybody know what would happen if phone companies were to just delay ALL outgoing calls by just 1 additional second???
Would that crash their scam strategy that is founded in large call volumes? - GailDidn't know number, don't answer, no message left and because of above reports will add to reject list.
- Caller: unkinown
- SickofitCredit card scammers offering 0% rate.

- vrcsTricky b....s. CID "800 SERVICE" which could be legit. I was in their shower and couldnt see the rest. It was tracking my payment history....same old..so I asked my agent with the predictable accent, if his mother knows what he does. I usually don't answer my phone, but.....
This message is long, but please read.
SCAMMING AND PHISHING CAN ONLY SUCCEED IF THERE IS A MARKET; AND THE MARKET NEEDS TO BE EDUCATED AND REMOVED! The crooks and scamsters are bottom feeders that have no limits, conscience, or mothers. Legislation (DNC FTC) and you are the only controls.
It has long been my standing that education provided (not) by the service providers and carriers is sorely lacking. They need to be made to take more responsibility for allowing this fraud to continue.
If you dont recognize the name/number, DO NOT ANSWER. If you happen to answer, DO NOT RESPOND IN ANY WAY; NOT BY VOICE, SELECTED NUMBER OR CALL BACK! If it is in the form of a pop-up, text or email, DO NOT SELECT ANY LINK. Assume any response to be a hidden link... (to hell). After all, they are scammers and you dont really know what you answered or consented to do, give or buy, (for which your number may be billed). If in the form of an email, open full address, take a screen shot then delete them email.
A legitimate company notification will identify you by name and never send you a link. No matter how real, authentic, promising or threatening it appears, DO NOT RESPOND. Call your private contact number to this company and check. Follow their instructions. They will probably request a copy of the suspect communication in some form...varies. They need to know when they are being spoofed.
Texting is a way to get around those of us who do not answer. Do not respond. Copy the text for rrporting.Take a screen shot of the entire text, including the phone number or short code. Save it, then delete the text. REPORT.
HAVE, KEEP UP TO DATE, AND USE, AN ANTI-VIRUS APP ON BOTH COMPUTERS AND CELL PHONES.
And don't waste your time with cute answers...there's no use or satisfaction and they don't care. They just move on to irritate or hook the next sucker. The longer you keep them on the line, the longer your access is open. Don't forget...they have your number and can get your address.
Regarding the DNC, you do not have to answer. Just dialing your number is an offense. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for any and all unwanted and/or unsolicited calls (cell or land-line), texts, scams, phishing, ID theft, and others at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/Information#crnt
A legitimate caller will be identified, will leave a name, message, and call back number, giving you the option to respond. It will respect the DNC. You can file a complaint about offenders on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. Your registered number NEVER expires. Be sure to register your cell phone too.- Caller: Scamster scum
