***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

They call my land line at least twice a day. The caller is male with an India accent. I wish for them to desist

they hang up as soon as you answer i have a new phone number no clue who these people are, dont know who they are looking for. call several times a day will not leave  a message either

I called Midland at 877-240-2377 and told them to remove me.  They asked for my number and my name.  I told them I wasn't giving them my personal info as I have no debt and am receiving these calls in error.  All I had to provide was a first name to "validate" I wasn't the person they wanted.  Took 2 minutes and hopefully it will help.  Annoying that I had to do it, but sick of two calls a day when I don't owe anyone anything!

this number call my house  5- 6 time per day from 8 am to 10.pm every days never leave message. do you I should call my phone company and send the record to state's attorney or better yet find a computer program on the internet to generate call from my computer to call the number 855- 891-8849  every 20 minutes 7 day a week, will I get trouble to do this. oh may be I should program to call every minute I don't know if this would clog the 855-891-8849 number so it would bother anyone else.

They call everyday all day and it is very annoying.

This telephone number 855 891 8849 keeps calling my house phone everyday for at least 3x a day for the past three months now. I don't know who it is because they don't leave a message and most of the time when they call i am out and when I am home and checked my phone calls I have several missed calls from this phone number constantly everyday and not leaving a message. This phone calls are starting to creep me out and they need to be stopped.

True, but the scammers are nutjob sociopaths and once it has been answered, they figure someone will answer one of their calls in the future, so they keep calling even though the phone gets hung up every time or is never answered.

They call 2-3 times every Sunday. Today they called 3 times between 8:44 and 10:49. I owe no one but my mortgage, which was just refinanced due to perfect credit. Obviously they are looking for someone else. Fortunately, my call blocker always blocks before it can call through. Getting ready to report them based on the frequency that they call.

They won't desist.  You have to send them a cease and desist letter.  There are templates available on the net.  Send it certified mail, return receipt.

These people call all hours of the day and night.  It is 1:01 p.M. And i have had three calls so far.

Same here! They are full SCAM. Ignore them.

They don't even have the right person.  Hope they like the abuse when they call.  I haven't even begun using cuss words.

Just got called by these jokers with the thick accent. I answer the phone all day long using my name so they have that. Said they werre collecting a debt which is strange because I'm a cash guy.  Does a 'No Call' list mean anything anymore?
