This number is calling me everyday 7-9 times.  Hangs up after 1 or 2 rings.  Very annoying.

I have been getting calls from this number I answer the phone and they will not answer
this morning they ask for people that do not live at this number
so I called the number back to find out it was midland collection  so I told them to remove my number I am not who you want I hate these kind of calls when they look you up as a possible relative

Why these ppl calling from different number asking you to send money if you won a prize...

CALLING SEVERAL TIMES A DAY

Trust me on this. You do NOT have to have a collectable balance to have them call you. I'm 60 and have ALWAYS paid of my credit cards the moment the bill comes. I pay cash for my cars and paid cash for my house. I don't now nor have I ever had an unpaid balance on anything.  They just figure they'll get someone dumb enough to be panicked into thinking they DO owe something which they either know about or maybe have forgotten. I can't believe this works on anyone, but obviously it does or they wouldn't be paying offshore telemarketers to make these calls.

Early this morning someone from India called asking for Sherrie L Baker. This is CLOSE to my name. Close but no cigar. First name is slightly off and last name is off by a letter.  When I asked them what MIdland was they said "If you're not Sherrie L Baker why do you want to know?" "Because you called my house you nimrod!"
Frustrating thing is reporting them to the government agency does ZERO. Nothing is ever done. I've heard of ONE prosecution (that may be an apocryphal story) but these are offshore callers, and besides cheap labor I'm thinking this is a work-around the law.  In other words, AFAIK we're all pretty powerless to stop this.

This appears to be a collection agency, called Midland Credit Management.They call every day and called last Sunday and today twice, also Sunday which is totally illegal. I don't owe anyone anything, I have no debt. I always pay my bills and on time.  I do very feel very sorry for  people who are in a financial jam because of the economic crisis our country is in, with job loss and things that unexpectedly happen that causes financial problems, and are then harassed by these awful people! I have grounds for a lawsuit especially since they are now calling on Sunday. Seriously considering that if continues thru this next week!  A note to anyone that has debt issues with these people, you can also sue and win hands down if they call on a Sunday.

This company is calling me and asking about debt that was not mine and the person whom they want to talk to. I have already told them to remove my number on their list however they continue to do so, the number  they have on the line was 1(855) 891-8849, toll free Calle. Upon searching it came out on this company or group of company that are in the business of collecting debt.
The indian guy was insisting to talk to the person they are looking and has not responded to my request to remove my number on their calling list.

Call 1 or 2 times a day. I don'nt answer the phone.

They called me three times on Sunday

they call me three times or more daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. I have very nervous and upset. Is there a way to block them?  to answer the phone no one speaks and they cut the call.  My phone number is recent. I not currently have any debt.  I need to find a way to stop this type of call.

I keep a NUMERIC list of phone numbers and when my phone rings, I know what and what not to answer.  I just let the phone ring.  Answering machine is always off - those that need me will call my cell.

They call my work every day and I do not answer.  They never leave a message.  I wish I could block the number.

Stop calling 919 567-****. If it continues your company will be reported to the attorney general.

Do not post your personal information on a public website! You have opened the door for your phone number to be harvested by spammers. You need to contact Midland directly VIA cease communication letter. They do not own or monitor this website.

Don isn't the one calling you, he is simply reporting who it is.  If you had read past the first page, there are many posts here that tell you what you need to do.

Block your cell phone number.  If you don't know how, try going to your local cell phone store and ask clerk to help you to do this.  At work, I don't know what to do there.

Got a call from 855-891-8849 it is from MIDLAND CREDIT looking for a Mexican  person, getting tired of it, don't Mexicans have a phone of there own, why do they  always have to give out someone else's phone number. I called them back after they hung up on me after I said hello, the person I talked to could not speak English good at all. I am getting so sick of this crap. Thought I lived in the United States, maybe not.

Receive multiple calls daily from this number.  Sometimes they leave a message and sometimes they don't.  When they do, they say our loan has been approved.  We never applied for a loan.  Very annoying!
