I received the same phone call but I looked online and saw that a lot of these collection companies are using scare tactics to make you give them information. Be careful! Don't give any information they don't have right to harass you.

Debt is civil, not criminal, so there are NO charges.  Law enforcement is also NOT in the business of debt collection, so your caller was, in fact, a scammer or junk debt buyer - regardless, he broke the law by impersonating an officer of the law.  Sorry, but your comment reads as "shill post".
