- Kat replies to JeromeThe number may beliong to an emergency information system but that doesn't mean all calls from it are from that service. Scammers often spoof legitimate phone numbers to try and fool people into answering.
- TommyG| 1 replyThis is the Anne Arundel County, Maryland Department of Health notification hotline. Received a call/notice at about vacination program of wild racoons. IMHO, this is an excellent example of public notification.

- Just my 2 cents.. replies to TommyGThen AACo needs to let the public see their name on our caller ID!! I will never, ever answer a county, state, or federal call with no caller ID info allowed!!
- CathyI do thing that 97 phone calls & no message is a bit excessive. Luckily it didn't ring thru or I would have needed a new phone

- k marieI'm in WV..caller ID just had number. I didn't answer...left voice mail about car wreck closing major highway and traffic being re-routed thru my county. I've added number to contacts. Didn't even know I was signed up to get these alerts.

- WhoisitOn 9-15-17 at 2:27 p.m. I recieved a call from this number claiming:
"This is a test of SCI Camp Hill's Code Red Emergency Staff Alert System. Please respond to verify your receipt of this message on the link provided or be emailing Mspeils@pa.gov."
I don't know if I got that email right. He said "m" or "n" and then a word not spelled out... Speels? Steals? Speils? I called it back a few times hoping to get a human but only got machines which for all I know could be some hacker/scammer/terrorist out to get people who work there. There was no warning at work of this happening. I called work and the operator knew nothing about it and said she'd look into it which sometimes means it will be looked into and other times is ignored.- Caller: Code Red Call Back Message System

- DAThis is a "code red" number for robocall "urgent" city messages. I have blocked all alerts from my phone, and now this phone number is blocked as well. It did leave a VM, which in this case was idiotic to say the least. It was from the police department, advising that a 26 year old hispanic man with black hair had "escaped" the crisis unit at the hospital... call the police if you see him. Let's see - I live in south Texas, and half of this town is hispanic. So, we're supposed to call the cops if we see a 20-something hispanic dude walking down the street? Beyond stupid, and absolutely useless in resolving the situation.

- BellaI'm in a rural part of Texas. I received multiple calls from this number on Friday, 4 calls in 8 minutes. The caller ID said unknown name. I have received Code Red calls from our Sheriff's department, and caller ID reads Code Red when they call. I did not answer.
- Caller: "Unknown Name"
- Nancy replies to ThatguyI received 2 calls....The first I answered and no one said anything. The second call was an actual code red alert about a young man near Wal Mart and the Parents have been contacted. That's all that was said. The bad thing is they called late at night around 10:30 to 11:00 pm. If it is legit I don't mind them calling late.
Oct 3, 2017 - connectichick replies to LINDA ROBINSONWhat in the world would make it okay to have a cell phone on during surgery???? Yikes!
- connectichick| 5 repliesReceiving a call from this number can be for any number of reasons - mine was simply to remind me that they’re flushing my water mains tomorrow. Thanks, CT Water...don’t know what I’d do without this knowledge!
- Caller: Emergency Alert
- Call type: Valid
- BigA replies to connectichick| 4 repliesSo, let me understand this. You received a call and the message was from you water utility telling you that they would be flushing the mains tomorrow. Do I have that right so far? Ok, so why did you then take the time to look the number up? After all, if it was exactly as you say it was, there would have been no reason to look it up. You certainly couldn't have learned anything new about it.
- connectichick replies to BigA| 3 repliesWell “Big A” (fitting) - I looked up the number after my phone rang and I declined the call. The message on my voicemail came in AFTER I had already looked up the number, so I just thought I’d toss the comment out there. I thought that’s what this site was all about - to inform users like yourself what a call from a certain number pertains to. Apparently I was wrong...wow.
- Slim replies to connectichick>> I looked up the number <<
Please give us more info about this supposed company that pleased you so well.
If you do not tell us the current, legal full name of the company, its legal address and website where we can validate the phone number, we can consider your post to have been made by a shill for some anonymous company using this phone number. After all, who looks up a phone number on a phone complaints site if they knew who called?
~~~~~~~~ - BigA replies to connectichickYes, you have insulted me before with that line. We could go back to grade school since that is where you want to go "Sticks and Stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me". There is that childish enough for you? I find it amazing that in the 5 or so seconds it took for the voicemail to register that you could actually find this site, register, answer the email, and then look up the number.
