12:00 AM call... it had better be GOD!

The call came in at 1:55  AM.  Not good. Thought it might be a computer glitch! ( better be)

This is confirmed as the Code Red Hot line. They did not leave a message & called 4 times in a row  yesterday April 2nd, starting at 7:17 PM then at 7:23 PM, 7:24 PM & finally at 7:26 PM. The number shows up as ECN Community.

I'm not sure where the other person got North Penn Water from because all 4 calls showed up from ECN Community.

I called the number back today to check it & got a recording confirming it was a Code Red Alert call from the local Police Station. They were searching for a local man in the area who had dementia.

This is a very important call to answer! Not sure why it doesn't say Code Red instead of ECN Community but there you go.

The number belongs to a call center. Many companies have access to it. The person ( or computer) calling you could be calling from the water authority or from cactus of the month club, it really doesn't matter. I got 2 calls from the number last week. I'm in NC not PA and my community has it's own emergency call system, not one that is contracted out.

Answered on third call and while reading this list and seeing "red code" reference.  It was an announcement confirming a local radio message that power would be cut off for a period due to wildfire in the area.  At least this time it was a significant public service.

I received three calls in a row from this number and it was North Penn Water Authority reporting that the hydrants were going to be flushed in the area.

Your counties have automatic code red alert calls if your numbers are listed in the local books.  If you have a cell phone usually you have to sign up for the code red alerts.  There is a way to unsubscribe.

April 20, 2011 I got a call from 1-866-419-500 at 3:39 AM saying it was from code Call Back RED ALERT and from the North Miami Beach Department about a child missing.   What the hell is going on in the middle of the night.  I tried calling the North Miami Beach Department, but because of the insane hour, nobody answered.  This has just screwed up my sleep and accomplishes nothing,  This system should be banned!  This has got to be some kind of a scam.

watewr outages and tornadoe siren testing ect... i got a call from the same number to indentify a siren test in sanger texas LOL go figure and i live 50 miles from there  but im the same area code

I live in Wyoming. This number 855-969-4636 started calling me at about 5:45 pm April 29th.  I didn;t answer it and it called a second time about 5 minutes later,  Again, I didn't answer. This happened 3 more times, every five minutes, and getting fairly annoyed that they were so persistent, on the 6th call, I finally picked up the phone to see what could be so urgent, and it was a RECORDING-telling me that this was somebody from the local Sherriff's Department--calling to let people know that they were having a Drug Drive in the parking lot of one of the local supermarkets and in front of another local supermarket in the neighboring community about forty miles from here. He said we should all gather up all our unused drugs and left-over or out-dated prescriptions or anything else you felt might be a danger in your home, and bring them to those two designated drop-offs, and there would be someone from the Sherriff's Department that would be happy to take this stuff off your hands. But I can't remember what day it is supposed to be.

Well, I'm with you, John! If it really WAS an emergency, it don't matter cause they've done wore us out with multiple unwarranted calls. If it continues, I hope it IS GOD to say that they won't be calling from this number and aggravating us ever again, otherwise take my number offa the list!

My caller ID simply said "Toll Free Call". They did call multipal times in a short period. If this was on the up and up, why not disclose who you are on the caller ID? I suspect that some of the posts here may be fake.

I'm in MI and got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I'm on Do Not Call list which is a useless bunch of government leaches. I've had 26-28 calls from 15 diff. numbers in last 9 days. It would sure be nice if the government got off it's collective butts and did a little something once in a while. Comcast has been told and basically wants to do nothing except sell me a private line and change my number. They only allow 12 blocked numbers but they don't seem to be blocking numbers and area codes that don't even exist. ???? Got to make you wonder why?
