    Mr. Crabby
They called on a Sunday night about 10 pm, something generally thought to be way out of line.   It is a company called ECN (Emergency Communications Network) Community.  Evidently, they have been contracted by the county government and police department to notify residents by phone of certain emergency/amber alert/missing persons situations.
In this case, it was a recorded message about a person reported missing in my area.  At first, I was quite angry; but after thinking it over I am not mad.  It is 5 degrees F out and if this missing person is outdoors they will die from exposure.
The only question I have is when is the cut-off time for these calls?

I have got two calls today from this number, and both times I didn't pick up the phone and let it go to my answering machine. And both times some auto-mated voice wanted to inform me there would be no TRASH picked up on Thursday. Because it was to cold outside. Really!!! That's supposed to be an emergency. I call it down right BS myself. My CID info came up as CODERED INFO At least now I know not to answer any call with this on my CID.

Must be a spoofed number because they called back tonight saying something about my trash pick up again. Really couldn't make it out, but was tired of them calling and called the number back to have them take my number off their list. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH "CODERED INFO"! Some auto-mated voice saying I would have to take their survey first. Then it started off that I won a free trip to the Bahama's crap. I hung up after that. Sure hope this number can be blocked!!! Going to file a complaint first thing in the morning.

On March 14, 2015 I received a call from this number.  The call came from my town in New York notifying me of possible ice jams and to take precautions if necessary.  We have a lot of snow and ice, rain is expected this weekend.  This is a CodeRed hotline, emergency broadcast system.  Caller ID shows call from ECN COMMUNITY.

This is a code red call, which is a reverse 911 system.  If you live in an area with an emergency notification with a landline you are already registered.  For cell phones, you have to register with your local 911 to receive notifications.

Not a scam. It's a phone call letting you know about a meeting being held and about how our RCMP can improve.

    I didn't recognize this #
But took the chance and called back.  the city I work in uses this Code Red system to get messages out.  And in this case, the city in ND wanted to alert people in that are of a fire and police training situation over the weekend.

In this case it is a valid call.

I signed up for emergency notifications with my county.  Today I got a call from this number on my cell and my home phone at the same time telling me of a scam going on in our county.  Usually they call to tell me there's a tornado in my area.  lol

This is legit. It is an alert system that some cities or other local governments use in order to deliver critical information to residents. I called this number back to find that my local sheriff's office used this to inform residents of a scam.

This "loser" isn't a person - it's a service that calls you to notify of local emergencies. You're an idiot.
