Calles late at night. No messages left. Do not know caller ID so do not pick up. If collections do not know what for. If Citibank, no business with them.

Collection agencies use all kinds of caller IDs and telephone numbers for their purposes. The agency can be in Virginia, for example, and calls from the agency may originate in other states. Where does jurisdiction lie?

They have called numerous times and won't leave a message.

This number called and my answering service picked it up. After they listened to the message they left a message. All they said was "Hello?".
Sounded like either a teenage girl or an elderly woman, couldn't tell.

They call early in the morning and they never leave a message on the machine. This is quite annoying since we like to sleep in on Saturday.

this number calls several times a day, automated voice says to hold, then sorry for the delay, then sorry we can't take your call..so I call back..they say no one there is calling..yeah right!!! I told them to take the number off their list or I would file charges for harassment...we'll see

What part of that isn't harassment if someone isn't there to take the call...especially if they are so persistant on calling everyday....
I don't have an account with these people, but my roomate does.  I don't have an account with them, but yet I have to deal with them on a regular basis...what part of that is stalking my privacy.  Get back, let the govt know that we aren't gunna take [***] from these people.

THis is a Citibank call center.  They were calling about my Office Depot account. I forgot to sign my check, and they wanted to do a check by phone.  So it is a legitimate number.  The person I spoke to was very nice, and very helpful.  Actually someone that spoke English and was nice!

Many people here say they don't have an account with Citi.  They may not realize that they do.  Citi is behind many different store credit cards, such as the Tractor Supply someone mentioned, and the Shell gas cards.

Hey [***], if you're getting called by this number then chances are YOU are overdue on paying your credit card.  It doesn't have to say CITIBANK on it to be a Citi card.  So quit complaining if you owe someone money and you aren't paying it.  Waa waa, you spent someone else's money and you aren't paying it back, so you deserve to be harassed by them.  If you don't owe money, then obviously it's a mistake and you should clear it up with them.  If you ARE behind on a credit card, then boohoo for you, you deserve it.

As Brian said you probably all if you are getting calls from this number you probably do owe them money...this is a legitmate number when you're sent to collections your number will be called anytime during the day they can call you upwards of 6 times a day b/c you're put on a number list that just keeps going around.  So how about you pay them the money to stop the calls...i understand that sometimes the number you have may have been from someone else that may be in collections but just call and ask for a supervisor!!!! how hard is this...i'm a customer service rep for credit cards i get these calls every day....yes citi owns many many many rights to many cards such as home depot, shell, phillips conoco, sunoco, citgo,exxon mobile, macy's, sears, key, associated bank, bloomingdales, and many many other so if you claim you don't own a citi card look on the back of your card in the fine print people or read your card agreement and you'll find out who services your credit card and who it's through.  so how about you stop complaining and do something about it and stop complaining about the calls your getting to people who probably don't care about your problems b/c they're getting the same type of calls and have problems all their own to deal with.

Read up people they may be violating your rights... if so report them, thats the only way to get companies like this to stop..

I just got the call from 859-283-3677. I don't answer if I don't recognize the number. And they didn't leave a message.

I have like 6 credit cards and have not paid one in a month or 2 b/c unemployed at the moment. Anyhow, I DON'T have a CITIcard, but I do have an auto loan from Citibank.

I just wanted to tell you all. Even if you don't have a citibank card, do you have a loan through them: auto/student/business?

Otherwise, this may just be a collections agency calling on behalf of all of the businesses to which we are endebtted. Is that a word?

F**K the calls, I just pray that we are all blessed with jobs that pay us enough to eat, keep a roof over our heads and enjoy life a little bit. Well, a lot, if possible, but I'm sick of this snit.

Got calls from this number and another, both citibank - did not answer - but I have no card or credit with them.  Odd, never have had, never do, never will, ...  I just keep ignoring.

If you have ever called to check a balance from your cell phone or any other phone, they will call that number if you get behind on a bill.

When I answer calls from this number they ask if they are speaking to me. I keep asking how I can help them. after several loops of the same question I thank them for calling and hang up
