- charliethis number and another from texas are both registered as Citi but I think they are both scams. I do not have any credit cards currently so it isn't a collection call. It is either the most invasive telemarketing ever (called my cell 5 times in the last two days) or a phishing scam.
- DebNEVER leaves a message! Calls begin daily at 8:15 a.m. and occur even on Sundays!
- Caller: Kentucky call
- dlbCalled them, after they called 15 times a day. It was for my husband's Radio Shack account. I paid to make it current, and she said the calls will continue until midnight. It's an automated thing and will stop by midnight. She was very nice about it. I didn't give out anyone's social security number, just the last 4 digits. Enough to identify myself. Now the calls will stop. Whew.

- HammerThey call and ask me to hold. No identification other than "Kentucky" on caller ID. If I pick up they either hang up or there's a dead line. If it continues I will report to donotcall.gov. This is rediculous.

- Frustrated & ThankfulI kept recieving calls on my cell phone from 859-283-3677. This number calls from early in the morning until late at night 7 days a week. When my voicemail picks up it records a message about holding for the next available operator then they hang-up. I had no idea who this could be other than a telemarketer, so I came online to try to figure it out. I do have a citibank card from Staples. The first payment was just due and I had driven over an hour (each way) to the store to make my payment, they don't take it there and couldn't direct me to where to go or how to make a payment. Unfortunatly, I shred everything to prevent identy theft and didn't have a statement to check. I'm glad I found this site because I hadn't thought to check for a number on my card and was able to make my payment immediatly, they waved the phone fee and the harassing calls kept me from ruining my credit. Thank you.
- JenThese people call my home non-stop.They also call my my cell, my hubby's cell, and my inlaws cell. I have discovered that after they talk to you once during the day, they're not suppost to call til the next day. And if you tell them certain numbers are off limits, they are to respect that. I am by far way to busy to have to drop what I'm doing and have to deal with ignorant people whom I've already talked to. This is Harrassment.
My advise for anyone who's reading this, keep records of when they call and what the nature of the convertsation was.- Caller: CitiCard (Shell Gas Card)

- CakesI answered the phone and said "Hello" a couple of times but got no reply so I said "Goodbye" and hung up. I don't have Caller ID so I *69ed and got the number. Annoying when the phone is answered and nobody says anything! Maybe it was a machine.

- RickThis is a phone number for Citi Bank Credit cards, the only mailing address that I have is P.O. Box 688940, Des Monies, IA 50368. The are calling for any card that is owned by them. They called me at work and I have asked them several times not to do so. So I will send them a letter to stop phone calls.

- MustangDriverI never answer calls I don't recognize, plus I leave my personal phone in car during my work day. Then I upgraded my phone and now can program the rings. When a particular ring rings I know immediately if it's friend or foe. Calls from 859-283-3677 are definately foe.

- county gurlhas been calling my home phone i am also on the do not call list! I want them to STOP!!!
- GooseThey called so many times and left no messages, until one day I picked up and nicely asked for their name and last name, and told them that I had them on a speaker phone and that I was recording this call. ( by law you can do that while on speaker phone ) and I asked them NOT to call me ever again, and if they did, I will send a copy of the recorded call to my state consumer protection agency and the federal trade commision. If they wanted to get in touch with me, to do so by mail. They never called me again.
- robinmc2We are currently receiving calls from several telemarketing and collection agency numbers. This started occurring after Hurricane Ike hit our area. This is one of the numbers that called. I get the feeling that some of these calls are telemarketing scams, trying to target the Texas Gulf Coast community. Or they may be credit card companies calling to ensure they are paid on time (difficult when one doesn't have power, postal, or phone service when bills are due).
The Gulf Coast community has been offered relief by the government, which has approved deferred payments. I'm not sure why collection agencies would be calling us to collect payments that have been deferred, so soon after the storm. I assume, therefore, these calls may be related to scams.
This is for others who may be from the Gulf Coast - I suggest turning these calls in to the state Attorney General if they continue! In addition, if credit card companies start harassing you for non-payment, please remind them that we are in a protected area. If they charge you late fees, then that might be considered price gouging after a natural disaster.- Caller: Unknown Name
- robinmc2Update - I also just got a call from 859-283-3675. I called the number back and the woman on the phone said she was representing a Citibank gasoline card. She wouldn't identify which card and asked for my social security number in order to process my information. The woman sounded very convincing, but I was hopefully as convincing to her when I told her I was turning in the phone number to the Attorney General's office!
I don't believe this was a legitimate call because all my cards are current. I do have one late charge because our power was out when my bill was due, but I am corresponding via secure online connections, not over a phone.- Caller: Unknown Name
