Below is a template of the Cease and Desist letter I used to get rid of these fools.  I sent it CERTIFIED and REGISTERED and the calls stopped roughly 4-days after it was sent.  I received the return receipt (as my proof they received it) in the mail about 6-days later.

This will serve as your legal notice under provisions of federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), to cease all communication with me in regard to the phone number referenced above. If you fail to heed this notice, I will file a formal complaint against you with the Federal Trade Commission who is responsible for enforcement, the States Attorney General office and/or the American Collectors Association.

We have decided that we do not desire to work with a collection agency under any circumstances. We will contact the original creditor to resolve this matter directly, as circumstances warrant.

You are also notified that should any adverse information be placed against my credit reports as a result of this notice that appropriate actions will be taken. Give this very important matter the attention it deserves.

Next time they call me... I'm just gonna be like "Jackie died last week" and then hang up. I've done this in the past. It usually takes them a month or so to find out you haven't actually died... so that'll buy you some time if you want to get them to stop calling for a while. 8-)

Omg these people keep [***] calling me! THEY CALL ME EVERY SINGLE DAY AND WHEN I ANSWER THEY HANG UP. So today they called and I stayed on the line and I seriously bitched the lady out and told her to leave me a lone and she said she won't stop calling until she talks to some LUIS dude. Like wtf? IT'S SO DAMN ANNOYING LIKE WHY DO THEY KEEP CALLING ME!

All you have to do is " put then in notice" tell them you don't know that person and make sure you tell them to stop calling. By law they have to stop calling, if not, the the debt collectors name and ext number. You can Sue them for that. And if you can record the call

I keep getting calls from this number daily. They are very rude and at times when I have tried to callback I get no answer or an answer but no one talking on the other end. Please sign me up for the law suit as well.

repeat auto dialer, slow recording comes on - doesn't ask for anyone, just sz this is debt call & to call back.... Definitely a crank call. I have no credit outstanding or medical bills etc. The Regulator entities should be protecting consumers from services like this that repeat dialing cell numbers just to run up usage.

Ok, I just did some research on this company via Google (God, I love that site - SO easy to find anything!) But, I digress.

RPM (Receivables Performance Management, LLC.) has a website address of receivablesperformance.com and on their website, I found that they have a physical address and/or a PO Box address in Lynnwood, WA for which people can send them payment disputes/inquiries to the physical address, and I guess all other inquiries go to the PO Box. On their Contact Us page where I found their addresses (just type contact.html after the / that follows the main URL/website address), they've also got a phone number (the 866 number that's been calling all of us and oddly enough just called my cell phone while I'm typing this out, lol) and a Fax number in the 425 area code.

Honestly, I'm not sure why they're calling me, and I hate how rude people can be on the phone when they work for collection agencies, so now that I have their "snail mail" address, I'm going to send them a letter asking them for detailed information in writing about who is claiming I owe them money, as well as the dollar amount, and see what happens from there.

Has anyone else received an email from this company? It says an amount but no name of company.

RPM left a voice mail on my celll phone, which is on the cell phone do not call list so I don't know how they got it, asking that I call 866-212-7408.  I tried caling back, but nobody answered.  I have no unpaid bills, and if I did, I would not have a credit rating only 10 points from the top.  It sounds like a scam to me!!

This company calls all the time. I don't why. Apparently it's not all that important because if I answer they hang up if I call them back they hang up don't know what else to do.

This phone number keeps calling me everyday. I dont answer calls which I dont recognized the number . So please stop calling. You're annoying.

One simple way to get these calls stopped is to file a complaint online with the Office of the Attorney General in Washington state.  I was gettng calls daily for someone else's debt (whom I did not know) - RPM was even calling on Sundays.  Once I filed a complaint with the OAG, the calls stopped and quiet reigns again!

Someone called me didn't leave a message.

Whoever this is has called my cel phone 16 times in the last 7 days.  Phone rings once, then they hang up.  I mean come on, one ring? Are they just trying to be annoying or what?

Actually, there is some truth to the original poster's comments.  I'm not sure how it works with a collection agency phone but I know someone who did this very same thing to a scum bucket over a cell phone on quite a few occasions and it was VERY effective.  

Maybe you should check out the validity of your "myths" before you spew your garbage on someone else!

Then, when they call you, enter the number into your call filter. Whenever they call back it will quickly pick up the phone and hang up on them (without ever ringing your cellphone). Peace and quiet at last.

I am getting sick and tired of this phone number calling my saftelink phone number and my tracfone as well. Somebody needs to do something about this I am getting tired of being harrassed.
