Thank you for contacting the Legislative Information Center and Internet Support. We suggest you contact the Attorney General Consumer Hotline at http://www.atg.wa.gov/FileAComplaint.aspx The other thing you can is contact the Department of Licensing as these agencies have to be licensed. File a complaint with them as well. http://www.dol.wa.gov/business/collectionagency/

Subject: RPM is harassing me and millions of other taxpayers
Hi my name is Belinda. I am emailing you today for help regarding a company named RPM. Alleged Collections service. These people (RPM workers) call day and night I have my cell and phone records to prove it. They don't care about who they're ringing just so long they can annoy people. My friends know my business as these people have called people from my phone records and harassed them telling them my personal information. I'm not a lawyer but I have researched with the BBB (@ www.thebbb.org) and the laws as you know are clear on these matters. However for some reason they don't think our laws apply to them! One day one of the workers had the audacity to tell me that God would be angry with me and that it's a sin to not pay.He further said my obligation as a Christian is to take care of my debts. That if I were to die tomorrow I could not go to heaven as I am a sinner for not paying. He also told me what kind of mother are you and what kind of example are you setting for your children? And of course topped it off with a threat that if I don't pay he would call child services and have my children removed. I don't know about you, but I'm getting steamed just thinking about it. Now all I'm asking is that you review my fellow Americans stories one listed below, as well as the companies info, and a web link to more tax payers needing your help.
Came home and found a message on my machine from a girl looking for some man I'd never heard of, asking him to call her at 866 212-7408. I just shrugged it off as her having dialed the wrong number. But the next day a man called and asked for the same name the girl did. I told him he had a wrong number. He asked if I knew this person which concerned me because I thought was a strange thing to ask. When I said no, he immediately hung up on me. NOW I was alarmed. I had no idea what was going on. I called the 866 number to find out what was going on. The woman was very nasty, cut me off and said "are you saying it's a wrong number?!" and when I said "yes", she hung up on me.
After reading the posts on this site, I see now these RPM people are rude. They can't think for themselves. They can't step outside of the box or their attack mode for one second. They have a phone number on a piece of paper they're ordered to call and like brainless robots, that's all they know how to do, so they call repeatedly. If they can't harass the intended individual, they'll harass the next best thing...the unsuspecting person who answers. Makes them feel accomplished I guess.

- adnilI have been recieving these calls for at least two weeks thinking they were telemarketers.--"hang on for the next representative" or something...then a hang-up. {{Okay, we all have to make a living}}
After I finally became annoyed, I kept calling them back until I finally pulled out of them that they were a collection agency. {{Sorry, I don't owe anyone money}} I also pulled out of them the name they were looking for. They had the right first name but a different last name and a different address, but the right town.
I read here about a possible relationship with MCI bills in 2001. Yeah, I had that nightmare too! I also have a Sprint account we recently changed into my son's name--Sprint is mentioned here also.
Anyway, I told them they had the wrong person, and they said they would remove my number. If they have my number, they should have my name...it's listed. Interesting.
They had better not mess with me. I have worked long and hard to obtain excellent credit and I WILL harrass back--even if it means a trip to Bothell, WA accompanied by my lawyer, the Attorney General, and maybe all of you fine folks. Hang in there, and don't give them any information they don't already have!

- ChrisI just called them after my fifth call today. They were looking for a woman named Elizabeth. I said no one by that name was at my cell number. I had just received that number upon activating new service. The woman then told me she would place my number on a list and i should not receive a call after 24 hours. And while i have been writing this, i have received 2 calls from them. They had better not call after today or i will be pressing charges.

- DaveFirst heard from them yesterday. They called my cell phone both times. I missed the first call, then answered the second one. Some guy mumbled something that sounded like he was speaking some native African language, then hung up. Found this link after Googling the phone number and really surprised at the level of activity this outfit has caused.
- MaureenThese people are a pain in the uknowwhat. A collection agency representing Sprint PCS. That should say it all if anyone has had customer service contact with Sprint PCS. My issue I have been on top of since May. Sprints Correspondence Dept. sent me a letter issuing requested credits and then turn around and send it to collections. GIVE ME A BREAK! I give up. Let them figure it out and I will write a letter to CYA with the credit reporting companies. Thanks for listening.

- 1-866-212-7408Yesterday received a call from a different number than the one listed above; Received a call at 11:30 this morning (Sunday) from 866-212-7408. RPM. Same company as before. I have no idea how they get these phone numbers, etc. I am on the DO NOT CALL list also. So far they have only called once - twice at the very most - for the past few 2-3 weeks - and not always every day - so perhaps someone has been working to stop this illegal, harrassing, uncalled for garbage? I am keeping a record of the dates, times, caller company, and phone numbers each time they call to report to the proper authorities. Maybe everyone else will want to do the same???
