As a rule, you should NEVER tell someone that you are going to make a payment or repay a debt. Even if you actually do owe it. When these agencies call it usually meansn the statute of limitations on the collections of the debt is almost due. If they can get you to say you'll pay it or make a payment it resets that statute. (The years involved in the statute of limitations varies by state..but basically if it passes and they weren't able to collect, they no longer can. If you agree to make a payment it resets and they can now collect on the debt again).

Will not stop calling, and i do not owe that company money. If i did, wouldn't they be calling me?

This number called my house every day for months and never left a message. Finally i was home to answer and they told me my husband owes $50.98 to Nextel. I asked them for more info and they were rude and told me to pay it or it would go on our credit report.  I just wanted to know the account number when it was from ect. They told me i was just trying to get out of paying the bill!!!WHAT?  They are rude and disrespectful and it's sad for them that they have to go home an hug their families after being so nasty all day. I don't care how much you pay me i would never do that job, or i would be alot nicer.  They also said they sent us a letter in October it is now February, i never saw the letter, however they refused to send another, saying the law requires they only send one.
 Then maybe it should be certified people!!!

They called me this morning saying I better pay my bill. Or else.. I told the chick or else what, you will pay it for me? they hung up. The agent was very rowdy and ghetto!

These people call my cell phone at least 4 times a day and leave me messages like I know them, "Hey Erin, it's Angie. Just calling to see how you are, call me back 866-212-7408!" It's ridiculous!!! And they never say where they are calling from or why, but they call at ALL hours starting at 7am til as late as after 9pm!!!

Thye call me trying to collect from some woman who had my number over a two years ago. If I could get an address for them I would send them a bill for "Their commercial use of my telephone". When they don't pay it, that is a collectable bill in small claims Court under FTC Rules.

Sprint screws up my bill, I call Sprint they say that I have to pay RPM, while sprint is still charging me for a phone that has been deactivated and assigned to someone else since October 07. RPM calls at the crack of dawn leaves no message, calls throughout the day, when I answer they are rude and are not willing to solve the problem. The workers they have answering the phones when you call can't even speak English and dont understand you. How are you suppose to deal with something when the stuff cant be dealt with. I dont want to be in debt but like others have said if you dont know who to pay you dont want to just throw money away. Any Ideas?????

i get a call everynight from this RPM company. they hang up when i pick up the phone. then when i call them back, i'm put on hold. how do i get them to stop calling. i don't know why i'd have a collection agency after me?

I just got a call from the same number asking for the same person.  He sounded like he was about 40-50 years of age, caucasian, with northern english accent maybe from the urban or suburban part.  He asked what was the number he called.  He stated that he would keep trying until he found out. He hung up.

I receive several calls a week from this and other collection agencies for various people with my last name.I do not know and have never heard of any of any these people.I have told them as much but the calls persist. I suspect they are using computer programs that dial all numbers belonging to the persons' last name. I have had this telephone number for 6+ years and my telco says that the number has never been owned by any of the names the collectors are seeking. I will be contacting the state attorney general next week to find out how these call can be allowed under the Do-not-call laws of my state.

They have called my number at least 4 times a day for several weeks. Finally I decided to answer and got the "please hold for an important call" message. But they hung up before connecting me to anyone. I called them back and asked who they were and why they were calling me. Turns out they were calling for someone who has never lived here or had my phone number. They SAID they would take my number out of their computer. We'll see...... At least they weren't rude.

They are calling me looking for a Erin Halsey Ryan. They said they were RPM Collection Agency in Bothell Washington state. The rep said he does not dial the numbers and can not remove my number, He let me talk to supervisor "Bob" who said I told the rep I was Erin (not true) I told him I was recording the call and he did not believe me. It got heated on both are parts. I told him I was a Verizon employee (I am) and would be filling harassment charges. I am also filing a complaint with the New York and Washington state Attorneys General Offices

They called looking for a person in my home that not live here. That people keep calling every day of the week and any hour.

I keep receiving this call on my cell phone. I never answered, since I didn't know who was calling me, but know they are leaving messages.

Got several calls from this number, they will not tell me why they are calling they just hang up, this is costing me air time on my cell phone.
Anybody know how to get them to stop calling or talk to me?  I don't owe anyone money and never had.

They called looking for my Ex. I've been divorced for over 10 yrs. The address and zip code they have doesn't even coincide with my phone listing. I just said that there was no one here by that name.
