Always calling me asking for a person I don't know.

Left no message--just a lot of breathing.

There isn't always charity options. My sister had to leave her job of 20 plus years due to major medical issues, & had to try to file for disability. For almost 2 years she was without insurance & income. She suffers from 2 forms of cancer, copd, a heart problem, & many more issues. During that time we called many organizations to try to get her help for the cancers, but she was always told they would mail her out info & never did. She was hospitalized numerous times during that time & the hospital would tell her to contact their business office when she received their bills & that office could apply something & it would basically wipe out the bill, but instead the business office refused to help & to sum it up, all the bills went into collection. So there isn't always charity options available for someone.

Here is a little technique that will end these calls forever.  Just say that you are the agent for that person, and that person is unfortunately deceased...  They will say, "OK, we will remove the account from our system".  problem solved.

Bad advice from someone who is clueless.  That is the surest way to end up in court.

NPAS and NPAS Solutions is a medical collector.  they cannot leave your private info over a voicemail or imply you owe a debt to a medical facility over a voicemail or until you verify your private information.  they will never ask you info that is not public record as verification. you can look them up at the BB but this is a valid medical (hospital) agency

Called and left voice mail that was dead air for 30 seconds then someone activated a prerecorded message about me owing money to corpus Christi medical center which I've never been too.

Well, goody for them. I'll believe it's a valid medical debt collector when I get a valid G-letter, said collector gives me no invalid grief when I demand written validation, and the allegedly valid collector can manage not to imitate the lazy and predatory habits of its peers.

Ralph here made the usual fatal assumption that all debts are valid and all creditors are honest. "It would probably be easier for everyone" if the health care and insurance industries would abolish balance billing, double billing, hospital bills which do not consolidate all vendors, and a dozen other confusing practices. Then extract all heads from rectums and determine how the billing of insurers can be done consistently without misinformation and fraud.

Third party collectors do not help by layering on more lies and confusion. They are happy like hospitals to blame HIPAA for their own failings, in part to distract you from their FDCPA obligations. What they fear more is another "Foti" style lawsuit for allowing the wrong person to encounter discussion of a debt, which is a problem in every consumer debt category. They have no stake in "trying to take care of it", and should not be rewarded with your dollars for breaking the law.

They called me and left a vm saying I was a person of interest on a claim. The next day the called my step dad saying they were trying to reach me. I tried calling but no answer. Just vm.

Finally about 2 days later they called again saying I owed money on some credit card. I asked her where was this placed located at that I owed money to. She said she didn't know. I asked her to email a copy of what she was looking at. She said there was no need to. She is telling me what she sees.  Lmao. I said I just don't give out money over the phone. I asked her again to email me she refused. Stated she would make a note on my acct n said good luck & hung up in my face.

Robo call message indicating medical debt of some kind and could I please call back a number provided.  Funny scam since I keep records of all expenses and I have no medical debts. Never answered after first call.  Keeps calling no audix messages left.  Just wasting my cell phone minutes.

This number has called me.several times. I dont answer most times, did once and they hung up.

Debt collector for a local hospital. Called about balance not covered by insurance when I was told it was paid. Turned out to be insurance company fault and they paid all debt collector charges

Well...you are wrong. I have received vm from these people and they always say they are calling on an outstanding debt on behalf of MCA which is Medical Centre of Arlington...and here is the kicker...I have never been treated there. Sounds fishy to me.

Person called and asked for someone who doesn't live in our house.  Apparently, some guy named Hector, gave our phone number as his.  In this case I said, "As I've told people, he does not live here."  The girl who called said, "I've never called you!" Then she hung up on me.
I get that being a debt collector is probably about as popular as being a beef steak in a room full of vegetarians, but seriously, I can't imagine how obnoxious this woman would have been had I actually been the person she wanted to talk to.
