I've get calls from this number several times a day.. It turns out its Discover Card offering me a "new Business Credit card."
I never answered the call but in turn I called the number back after the 8th time and the telemarketer was very nice and said "this Discover wanting to offer a new card." I promptly told them I'm not interested and ended the call. I'm sure tomorrow, they'll call 10 more times but atleast I know who it is~!!!

2:30 pm March 12 2008 Called, and then hung up.  They called my home phone, which is on the do not call list.

Called three times today. I have the business line transferred to a cell phone and keep it on vibrate while I'm at my day job. I finally caught the phone the third time and the man asked for a specific person (owner of the management company that oversees our building.) I said that he doesn't work at this number and asked if I could help him. He said yes, if you make financial decisions. I said no I don't, could you please take this number off your call list? He said only if he speaks to ______ personally. I said I could give him the number and he said "yeah whatever" - so I said, "you sound keep of flip - are you really going to actually call ____ and take my business number off this list?" He said he "can't call out so maybe" - I hung up on him. Won't be answering that call anymore. Definitely call center noise in the background. Must be an automated dialer since the person was not actually on the line when I answered...you know the pause I'm talking about...

Rec'd calls everyday until I called this number back.  It is Discover business card.  Ask to be put on their "Do Not Call" list.

Called today, around noon to a residential number, not a business.  
Caller ID said PRESCRIPTIVES

Called today with Caller ID Prescriptives.  It was Discover Card trying to sell Identity theft protection.

This is a total scam....they called a co-worker's direct line claiming they needed to speak with me and that it was VERY IMPORTANT that they speak with me about a URGENT MATTER regarding my account.  When I called Discover back DIRECTLY they said they had no idea what I was talking about.  That there was NOTHING wrong with my account and that the number this "tele-marketer" called was not even in their system. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION ITS A TOTAL SCAM!

Telephone number 866-290-6517 --- They call our home phone EVERYDAY and have for the past several weeks.  When I see it on caller ID, I just hang up.  They refuse to quit calling.  They identified themselves once as Discover wanting us to combine our bill through them.  Over and over, I politely told them we were interested. Oftentimes, when I answered, there would be different people on the line.  For example, one day a lady, the next day, a fellow, etc.  It's really a form of harassment.  We do have a DISCOVER card and I am told that telemarketers are allowed to call the homes of individuals who do business with them, but I get tired of the daily phone calls.  Thank goodness for Caller ID

They call repeatedly. My phone service just added "selective call rejection" so I added them to the list.

I receive 2 calls from this number everyday! I called back, and only the recording voice responded stating it's discovery card, and it let me stay on the line forever when chose to talk to its representative.

This caller called my home on 5/28/09 at 9:33 am & left a message in a disguised voice saying, "we know you're home", and hung up.  This is unacceptable behavior from a telemarketer or any other caller.

Has been calling daily and weekends 2-3 times a day.
Said she was from Discover.  Was a foreigner that did not speak English very well, she mumbled something in English.  When I asked her what she wanted, she mumbled again and hung up.

I have logged 50+ calls from 866-290-6517 starting March 30 2009 to May 28 2009! This must stop! I gave up on pushing the 2 to be removed. I have even pushed 1 to talk to an agent. When I confronted the person about my number being on the DNC list, he called me an unprintable name and hung up!. I still got these calls after that. I finally put a block on the number. Now I can still log the calls but it only rings once and tells the caller I am not accepting calls from their number. Something must be done to stop this harassment!

866-290-6517 has called me for weeks now! Sometimes 2x a day. If the answering machine picks up the messgae left is about AN URGENT MATTER REGARDING YOUR ACCOUNT. Or, I've also heard WE HAVE A SPECIAL OFFER FOR YOU. Lastly, on the machine I've also gotten just a tone (AHHHHH!) So, I call Discover everytime I had a call from the 866 number - which comes up on caller ID as PRESCRIPTIVES. I recall my experience to Discover, they say they'll contact HQ. I called the 866 number directly, & said this is NOT Discover, why are you calling?They hang up. Another time I called Dsicover the rep puts me on hold and calls the number - not sure if they really did. They say they'll contact HQ. Yet another time I called to report the calls the Discover rep said that they do have 3rd party marketing companies calling members. WHAT?! How do I get off that list? The rep said they'll make a note not to have 3rd parties call me. Finally I called 866 again asked to be taken off the list THEY KNEW MY NAME & PHONE NUMBER! NOT COOL - Discover dropped the ball on this one! I was finally told that it'll take 2-3 weeks for the calls to stop. PLEASE KEEP CALLING DISCOVER TO COMPLAIN - THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

they just called me and said that my discover card was past due but i dont even a card ! total scam
