Calls me EVERYDAY!! Often calls me 4-5 times (as per my caller id). The id says "prescriptives"!! I never answer for them but it is so annoying to have them continuously calling.  How can I get them to stop?

This number calls anywhere from 3 to 6 times a day.  I want it to END.

I am tired of getting calls about every 15 minutes from this number.  I have told them to stop calling but they do not honor my request.

I just called the number back. A representative claimed to be with Discover card. They wanted a lot of personal information in order to put me on a do not call list - I refused them the information. They claimed they would remove me from their call list, we'll see...

They call several times a day but no message is left.  I have not called back. After reading the previous posts I realize it is that darn Discover Card that I am attempting to eliminate from my wallet.

CJ had the same problem as me. The other messages i had read i assumed it was Discover. Well it isn`t . It wasn`t a telemarketer either.The number was 866-290-6517. And i dont evern have a discover card and had noting to do with it.

Well, I recieve calls from this number about 3 times daily, every day. Morning, afternoon, and night. I NEVER answer 866 numbers, but they are getting so annoying I might Skype them with a voice board prank call.

Constant calls three or four a day. No one on the other end.
What can I do to stop this?

Got calls from Discover. Closed Account. Will never do business with Discover again. Period!

I received daily calls from 866-290-6519 for weeks, never bothered to answer but got annoyed with the calls.  Then I finally figured out call blocking on U-Verse and blocked it.  Now the number 866-290-6517 started calling repeatedly.  Blocked them, too.  Will see what number they will make the calls from next.  But I will definitely call Discoverer to have them take my number of their telemarketer's list - thank you all for the tip!

We do have Discover Card, carry a small balance and pay on time every month.  These calls come in spurts, every day for a couple of weeks, then 3 or 4 weeks without, they will only speak to my husband since his name is on the card.  When I ask to take a message they say it's just a "courtesy call" from Discover and ask when is a better time to reach him.  They will sometimes call as many as 5 or 6 times a day, which is very annoying, as I work at home.  We've never done business with another company that calls so regularly to harass paying customers!

Contacted Discover and they confirmed this is the # of a company they use.

Discover card calling to offer their card protection services and to send out a packet in regard to this.  They are calling my home at least 3 times per day.  I spoke with a young lady yesterday and told her I was not interested.  I also told her that I wanted to be removed from the list and to not call my home anymore.  They called at 11:42am, 2:14pm, and 4:30pm again today.  I was rather short with the gentleman again at 4:30pm and told him that I said I was not interested yesterday and to not call again.  They are absolutely obnoxious and harassing.

I am also getting several calls a day from this number.  I called Discover directly and asked if this number is legit.  They confirmed that the calls are coming from a telemarketing company contracted by Discover, so they are really Discover-related.

I asked them to place me on their Do Not Call list, and they were happy to accommodate me.  Call Discover directly at 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683) and press 0 for operator and take it from there.

Hang up when I pick up the phone, usually rings 2 or 3 times.It's getting to be annoying!! This is a business number, I wish I could talk to them to tell them to stop calling!

Discover card for credit protection plan.

It's Discover. They call like every ten minutes and I have already told them to stop. I don't even have a freaken Discover card!!

This caller must call my home phone number serveral times a day and never leaves a msg on my answering machine.

They call 2 to 3 times a day.  I told them we are on the do not call list and to take me off their call list.  They said that unless they talked to my husband they could not do this.  The phone they are calling is in my name not his and they will not tell me why they can only talk to him. Why is the FCC not ding something about this?

Is there anyway to stop this? I get 8 or 10 calls a day as well.
