Received 9 calls in days- they don't stop!

this is total crap !! 866-290-6517 are a bunch of yahoo's that call my house 4 & 5 times a day !!  I put them on call block and they still call !!   I called the 866-290-6517 (twice now) and said to be taken off my list, they still call..  I called my actual discover card 800-347-2683 & spoke with a very nice lady and said this has to stop ! I told her this has already been reported to the FCC.  She told me she would put a note in my account (like that will do any good) to stop calling.. my next phone call will be to the local news station.  PLEASE KEEP CALLING DISCOVER TO TELL THEM THIS IS A BUNCH OF BS !

Well, this one is starting to cruise to the level of harrassment.  They called 8 times yesterday!! NEVER any messages.

Well it is nearly the ene of the  month on the new year and already I have received 42 calls from this number. Being on a do not call list does NOT help. I work altenating shifts, these a holes call day and night, something has to be done to stop this intrusion.

Calling and calling and we want it stopped now!!!!!!!!!!

I must say they are persistent.  I have the number on selective call screening by comcast.  I don't hear the phone ring anymore, but I checked the web site and my missed calls show this number 17 times this week and 4 times today.  Perspectives, I used to think that was a cosmetic company.  They should call the company Persistence.  I will Discover to get them to put me on their do not call list.  This is ridiculous.  I guess with a bad economy and high unemployment, scammer's are running rampant.

2nd call from this number today no one answered when I picked up the phone I could hear many voices in the back ground.

I have received several calls at all different times.  I have an answering machine and to not answer.  But I have to get up and go to the phone just to see it's some kind of scam call.  I am on a State and Federal no call list.  A lot of good that does.  I am so mad about this but I will not answer and maybe give them additional informant about myself.

Called 2 times today.  Nothing on the other end.  There needs to be a way to stop this.

It is discover card.  Called the phone company and they verified.  I have a Discover card and called the number on the card 1-800-DISCOVER and spoke to a person who said that they would take me off of their list.  It might take a day or two though.  If you do not have a Discover card but are on the Do-not-call list, I recommend you call the same number and inform them that if the calls do not stop, that they are in violation of the law and you will report them.

They called 5 times this a.m. and last time I answered.  Noise in the background was horridly loud and just a buzz.  They said they knew I was a valued Discover Card member and they were offering to freeze my account for 2 years, and that is about as far as I let them get.  I told them I wasn't interested and to take my name off their calling list.  She said they would but it may take up to 30 days to be completely removed.  I called DISCOVER and they said they do have some 3rd party affiliates who may call from time to time but she would put me on the do not call list and stop all these calls.  I asked her to do just that and she said we may get a few more calls before they stop completely and then they would stop.  Just call DISCOVER and ask them to change your preferences to no calls from 3rd party associates.

They keep calling every half hour.  Will not leave a message.  Very annoying calling at lunch time, dinner time and even early in the morning.  They should be prosecuted for calling

This # has called me 8xs in the past 2 days, at all hours without ever leaving a phone number.

Unwanted, unsolicited, repeated (1 to 2 times per day).

I am a Discover Card member but do not wish to have the calls.

When I do answer (pick up on the call) there is NO response!

I've been getting calls from this Number for the past few weeks.. It's just one of those numbers I assume is trying to sell something.  I'm on the Do not call list... Funny stuff.

I read the complaints from 2007 to now and the interesting thing is I do not own, nor have I ever had a Discover card or account.  I think I'll have to answer next time as I'm curious who this is..  But plan to give no info.

I finally picked this call up because they were calling daily. It was Discover. Told me "congratulations on being a preferred card holder." And started into their script on how I could get fraud protection." I told them that the only reason I picked up the call was to find out who kept calling me. I told them my number is a DNC number and to not call me again. This was a week ago and I've had no calls from that number.

I called the Better Business Bureau and they said they need an address of the company in order to take any action. They suggested I complain to the Federal Trade Commission at 877/382-4357, which I did.
Maybe if enough people complain, they can be put out of business.
