Those people have been calling me too. I'm on Fido pay as you go and this is annoying me. I missed 3 calls today and they never left a message, and when I did pickup the phone this evening all I heard was click and that's it. I called them back from a land line and it's Atelka... and they are based in Montreal where I live. So tomorrow I'll call them back and ask them to take it off their list, if not I'm going to their office and make them pay for my phone card.

I've had my phone for 7 days and had about 10 calls from this number.  I don't have 'ignore list' on my phone. I pay 40 cents an hour in the daytime when the calls come in.  I'm a student and can't afford this.  so there's a montreal office?  is there one in the GTA ?  Let's post addresses so people can go and complain in person or report them to the police

I got 'the call' also. Very annoying. They are costing us time and money, with no regard to personal privacy. Maybe we should put _their_ corporate phone numbers and website url's on www.utube.com etc to encourage people to fight back and jam their public interfaces. That would waste _their_ time and money! Many people now have 'free' minutes to use up on their vonage etc accounts. Perhaps that would be a good way to use them up! Fax: (506) 657-5765 Asking to be removed from a list is probably like responding to spam email. Some corporations have no regard for any laws...no surprises there!

I get at least 3 phone calls a day since I've got my phone from Fido. These calls come at all times of the day and there is never any answer and when I try to call back theres nothing no dial tone or ringing. Someone please put a stop to it!!!!!!!!!!

It is happening to me too! I haven't answered the call because I have been working - and then I looked it up and found this forum. Post if anyone finds a solution!

Got called for the first time today.. in the middle of a class! Which was irritating.

I'm wondering, as I've heard various accounts on here...

are they:

A) Associated with Fido? Either to survey or to scam us of our money
B) Associated with Rogers to get people to switch providers?
C) Separate firm that sells our information to other telemarketers?

I get calls from this number 3-4 times a day which is a bit annoying because sometimes I would forget to turn my phone on silent during class and it will just ring and the professor would get all mad and stuff. So I called Fido and spoke to one of their customer service rep. and she helped me call the number . She did it all for me but she said all I needed to do was follow the instruction the recording gives. I called the number before but I don't recall any hearing any instructions. Those people just hang up on you. But the Fido customer service rep. said she called them and followed the instruction the recording gives and took my number off of their calling list. I have no idea if this works because I just finished calling Fido. Maybe worth a try.

Same fking number called me every fking day for the past week!  And no one speak when I pick up the damn phone

I have been getting calls from this number also. Most of the time I ignore it, once in a while I have picked up, and it hangs up quickly. It's probably because they use an automated dialer that dials outbound and when someone picks up it is supposed to connect directly with a call center agent, but the support agent may be already on another call or gone to the can so it just cuts you off.

I called the number back from my land line today, the name of the telemarketing company is "Atelka" as Chris mentioned earlier. They are contracting for Fido (But they probably contract for Rogers and others).

In any case, you can dial the number back and use their IVR / Automated menu system to put your number on their do not call list.

If you want to take it further I suggest you complain to Fido and demand that the issue be raised to the person in charge of outsourcing telemarketing functions.

If you are still getting abused after this, then report the incident to the CRTC. http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/welcome.htm They are the guys that regulate telecommunications in Canada, and they have the power to reprimand or in more serious cases shutdown companies that abuse Canadian citizens.

i get these calls at least 1 time a day. i picked up once and it said some kind of language that i dont understand, so now i ignore them all. i just phoned that number by the land line to remove my number. hope it works.
i was wondering...fido? but the thing on the top of my screen says rogers? maybe they both suck.

okay...yesterday i called them by my landphone and told them to remove my number from the list, but this morning they still called me...now im gonna phone them again and write that complain file to CRTC!

Phone rings no one speaks or just laughing. lasts 10 to 15 seconds.

They called, and when I picked up, they immediately hung up. I just called their number and used their automated system to remove my number from their calling list

I do not want to get any call for client from Fido any more

i get calls every day and they just hang up...i tried to remove my number via their automated system and they still keep calling....i emailed the managment team to stop calling me...here's all of their emails

This number keeps calling me at work.  I came back from lunch today and had 3 missed calles from 1-866-301-5302.  I called them back, and someone picked up but didn't speak.  This is such a waste of my time.
So I searched this # and came to this page.  If so many of us are complaining about them, how come Fido is still using them? If we all threaten to disconnect our service with Fido over this, do you think they'll stop??

I've been getting phone calls from this number since 2 months now... they call everyday... 4 to 5 times...

Really annoying.. is there a way to make it stop???????????????

If you dial 2 to continue in english, you have the possibility to leave a message... but you don't if you dial 1 for french...
