I'm tired of these harassing calls, 3-5 times a day.  What good does it do to be on the DNC list!

We are suppose to be on a don't call list.  We are constantly getting this call and I'm tired of it.  It is no fun to be napping or cooking or eating and have a phone call that hangs up as soon as you answer.  Yet, I have called back and they won't answer.  How do I collect monty from this company if I am on the do not call list

Whoever these jerks are call me at least 3 or 4 times a day.  When I answer the phone, they NEVER respond and they just hang up.  What's going on?  I'm sick and tired of this!

I called Kids Wish Network today, and spoke with a Patrick, who is the director of Donor relations.  He was not aware if there company is using this number to solict donations, however he is looking into the problem.

They call me periodically and leave a message for someone named Antonio Williams. They say they have sent Mr. Williams a very important package of information, and that he should call them immediately at 1-800-387-5658, ext. 2455. In passing they mention a name of the calling company, which sounds something like RNS, but it is very garbled. It sort of sounds like they are trying to make me think the IRS is calling without using the name IRS. When I call this number to tell them there is no one by that name at this number, the response is "OK, I'll take you off the list." For a few months, I don't get any calls from them. Then it starts again.

303 is Canadian prefix

To be more precise, 866 is Canadian area code.

I called the FTC 1-877-382-4357 to report this toll free phone call from a person that rattled off what organization (CRS...something for children's wish) he represented after he mistakenly called me by my mother's maiden name. He then apologized to me and said he did not know why he called me that. He slipped up because he was looking at information I thought was kept private. He mistakenly called me this because it was in front of him and apparently is not being protected even if we "opt out" and all our information is being sold. I was told by the FTC "Consumer Counselor..Joan" that she could save the information but could not file a complaint on behalf of one person but when questioned how we could get this looked into I was told if more people call and complain then it will be looked into. A recent study shows 1 in 25 people are now victims of identity theft...complain....we need this stopped!
I think the so called Privacy Act is doing more harm than good!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told the FTC person other things that were happening to me...there was dead silence...she could have cared less.

Sick and tired of getting calls from this number.  No answer, no sound at all, just a waste of time and resources.

One ring. I answered, no one there. Punks.

Frequent calls, hang up when answered, no message left if not answered.

i get calls everyday three and four times nobody ever is there i call back and its either busy or it just rings very annoying what can we do??

When I answered the phone no one was there...when I called it back I got a busy signal.....What's going on?

YES! We are in Burbank.  Identical experience as others on this message list.
No message, no one on the other end if we pck up the line.
Haven't tried calling it back, but would susupect the same
results as reported here.

I did a search on the number and found this message
board.  I am going to call the phone company and see
what they can tell me.  I find it hard to
believe they have not already had numerous complaints.
If I find out anything, I will post it here.

that handles this sort of thing.
The AT&T Annoyance Call Bureau
(800) 348-8727

Because the calls from this number qualify as
harassment, we need to first file police reports
with our local authorities- we then call
the Annoyance Call Bureau back and file our
case numbers with them.

I know it sounds like a great deal of
trouble, but it is worht it to me.  I hope
you feel the same, because if enough
of us follow through, it WILL be resolved eventually.

It concerns me that many on this board
have indicated that who ever is making the
call from this number appear to have
personal information about us.  I
would hate to think it is connected to
some sort of identity threft ring.

Another poster here mentioned he was
a small business owner- I stared getting
the calls shortly after I filed a DBA for
my publishing company.  I am curious to
know if anyone else can think of other
commonalities that may connect those
of us receiving the calls.

I am going to make the report to
my local police- agin I hope other
do the same because if enough of us
file, they will have to do something
about finding the perpetrators.

Upon thinking about it, I decided to re post it

What good is the DNC is they won't pull the number from who ever has it???
