how do i get your information packet and your policy on money back, 91 complaints filed on your company not giving hard working people there money back is very scary. I have recieved sevaral calls from this Paul
but can never talk to him why is that,if you spend so much time calling me why can't I ever talk to this paul when my phone rings and not have to send it to my voice mail to see who it was because the number is private when you run a business you want your number out there so when I don't answer I have a callback number to talk to the person who called me not a different person everytime you call this business and can not transfer me to a Paul or have a option to leave him a message to call me and speak to me at the time he or I call.

So I got the call from "Brad" and he left a message on my cell. I called back and asked them to never call me again and told them the car was sold. If they had left it at that, I probably would have just shrugged it off, but they didn't. I received two more calls. The guy who called me today was less than smart. As usual, they called from an unknown number. Now there has only been a few times in the past several years that i have gotten a call from an unknown number and all of them have happened within the past week or so and all have been from this Auto Marketing Systems aka Longwood Industries, Inc. He first asked if my car was still for sale. I said no. Then he asked if I had anymore to sell. At this point, only and idiot would not know that this was them. I said, "This wouldn't be Auto Marketing Systems, would it?" The guy said, "No, I'm just calling about the car you have for sale." I said, "well you have a number that shows up unknown on my caller ID so who are you?" He hesitated (ameture) then said, "I'm just calling about the car. You said it's sold?" I then asked again, "who are you?" He hung up. Apparently, they need to revise the script so that their phone scammers can respond accordingly. After that, I thought, "I wonder where these people are located and if anyone might want to pay them a visit. Surely someone has had their money stolen by these idiots." Sure enough, I find this board. So here's the deal.

Auto Marketing Systems is also Longwood Autos / Longwoodin.com etc.
Although there is no address posted for Auto Marketing Systems or Longwood Autos, however, these business are actually both part of Longwood Industires, Inc. which DOES have a physical address in addition to their nice and anonymous P.O. Box. Also, if you'll notice, the Auto Marketing Systems site and attached to http://www.longwoodinc.com/. You can see their ad right on the front page. All of these companies are tied together. Here is the physical address, contact information, real phone numbers for the companies, etc. If anyone is close enough, I'd strongly suggest paying them a visit. I'm sure they'd be more than willing to give you the guided tour. Have fun. One other interesting fact.

Ever wonder how they're sneaking under the Federal Law radar and soliciting over the phone? Well here's the skinny. Technically, Longwood Indistries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) company. Without laying out the whole book for you, that basically means that they are also, at least partially, non-profit. It must have taken an evil genius (way to go Renee) to work this whole scam out. A 501(c)3 is type of incorporation that is used to set up a charitable corporation. A charitable company is a type of company that is set up with the intention of providing a service to the community, rather than making a profit. Being that this is the case, they have a different set of rules that they have to abide by, unfortunately not including some phone soliciting restrictions. (again, pretty smart there Renee)

Are you kidding? thats in 36 months (3 years) do the math. most companies get more than that in one year. whats important here is not the amount of complaints, but   1) How many satisfied customers in one year compared to that number and 2) how many of those have been satisfied to the customers satisfaction. if you look on the BBBs website you will see that they tell you the exact same thing , that these are two very important things to consider, more than the actual #s. According to the BBB there are NO unsatisfied customer complaints to date. Check that out. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!!

I used their services last year to help sell a truck.  I never recieved a call or referral from them.  After selling my truck, I followed the dirrections to recieve my rebate.  I never recieved a call or a check.  I have called 5 times to follow up on my rebate.  Each time they said they recieved my request and it was processed.  To date they have not sent me my check.  I even said I would report them to my Attorney's General Office and the BBB.  Don't use them!

Paul, I used AMS last year to help sell my truck.  After selling my truck, I followed the Cancelation Form's directions to cancel my add and recieve my refund/rebate.  After three months of waiting I started calling.  Almost a year later, I still have not recieved my check! Each time I call I am told that everything was processed and that my check should of been sent.  They have no explanation why I have not recieved my refund.  They took my money but they will not send me my refund as promissed!  I last talked to Jena and all she could suggest was to call daily and file a complaint.  I guess I will file a complaint and post it everywhere I can!  This sounds like a Scam,  feels like a SCAM.  A legitimate organization does not treat its customers this way.

A big SCAM! An individual left a message in my voice mail on 19 March 2010 at 9:10 am from the company called Brad.  He stated that he has tried to contact me few times about my vehicle.  When I called the company, I was informed that they have interested buyers that my asking price was very reasonable and they could guarantee me that amount since they deal with people how were pre-qualified financially.  

She informed me  to that once I sign for the program I will start receiving email from the interesting parties and I should deal with them directly since the do not get involve in the sale process.  It sound very convinced and I went for it.  I paid 249.00 with the 90 days return policy because it offers the opportunity to get the money back even though I sell my vehicle for less.   WOW, what a great deal!
Few dates later, I called back and inquired about the interested peoples emails and I get all kind of excuses from AMS and request my money back.   From that point forward I realized that I have been ripped-off by AMS.

This is another # "Brad" from Longwood inc left on my cell # 866-326-9921. I called the # and AMS answering service ( recorded message) answered my call.  People please do not answer their calls. Save your $ and a big headache.

Yeah, this AMS (or AMG) is a scam outfit.
They called my cell with an "unknown number" and sweet little "Jasmyn" indicated she was interested in my truck, pretending she was a private buyer.  After I asked her where she was calling from and if she was a private buyer, she laid the cards on the table saying she represented AMS and was located in Vancouver also with offices in Las Vegas.
She said they have interested buyers and for a $500 fee I could get "full" price for my truck.  But first I had to give her personal information prior to her senior manager calling me back next week.  I told her to have her senior manager call me back today so I could tell him to shove it!
By the way I highly doubt she was calling from Vancouver.

3. The woman I talked to claimed there were lots of people looking for my vehicle. I'm selling a 3ton truck with a HIAB crane on it. I don't imagine there are lots of people out there, in my area, looking for such a vehicle. But I figured for that very reason it wouldn't hurt to advertise as much as I can.

4. If she knew there are lots of people in my area, how come she didn't know where Alberta is?

I have more, I'm just getting frustrated.

From what I've read there has been alot of complaints filed with the BBB. Someone came back and said that's not that many for a 3 year period, but those are just the people who were annoyed enough to actually go through the process of filing. How many are out there that haven't?

Make no mistake. I WILL go to the RCMP if I have the same trouble that other folks have here. If you are legit, I promise to come on here and tell everyone about it. They will know it's true because of this post right now.

Hello everyone, I’ve read all the posts and find the replies from Paul rather amusing.  This would apply to the telephone numbers 866-326-0949, 800-430-1965, 877,572-5714.

Paul, who is actually the owner of the company, Bryant Cass, sits in his office all day scouring sites like this pretending to be some low level employee.  All of their companies have such bad Internet blogs that they must try and do damage control, which explains all his recent posts.

“Auto Marketing Systems” is also thebiglot.com, autohopper.com , et al and all owned by Adventis, Inc. based in Roanoke, Virginia.  His other business partner, and brother, is Mason Cass.  I would contend that Messrs. Cass do not like to be called and hung up on.

Adventis does not “buy” leads at all – they simply have computers that pull numbers off the Internet, load them into their automated dialers and continuously call people all day long.  Their business model is predicated on leaving a message because they know this type of service does not sell well cold calling.  This explains why many of you get hung up on – the system hears you answer and then it disconnects.
The model of these clowns is simply – charge a fee, make a refund policy extremely difficult to follow and hope that a)Not many people apply for the refund and/or b)Make it difficult to “qualify”.

Let me again state that any notion that this company purchases leads is purely nonsensical and fraudulent advertising.   Their website(s) get very little web traffic and they only consumers who shop on their website are customers that end up buying their service – which amounts to not much web traffic.
Further, Adventis does not sell hardly any cars via their website.  I would estimate that out of 1,000 vehicles placed on their website less than 3 get sold due to their service.  Adding to their poor sales record, Messrs Cass know nothing about car values, car selling trends, buying/selling or the used car market in general.  They are counting on your naiveté and hope that they can help – I hope this explanation keeps many more from becoming victims.

We all get emotional about selling our vehicle, but the best places to sell your vehicle these days remains Autotrader (the highest trafficked website), ebaymotors, cars.com and traditional print classifieds.  You may also do better advertising your vehicle in a larger market, but rest assured, if you spend $200-$400 with Adventis you will not sell your vehicle due to their service.

I’m sorry Mason and Bryant Cass, but Adventis, Longwood  and your methods of extorting money from the public must be made public knowledge.

Paul, I would like to elaborate.  Has anyone ever placed an ad in a newspaper??  It COSTS money.  I placed an ad in "Auto & RV" and it COST money!  I placed a free ad on Craigslist a month ago and have not recieved one call.  I placed an ad with Auto Marketing Systems a couple of weeks ago and I am hoping for the best.  It seems like people are saving thier money.  It's the economy......markets are tough.  So maybe the reason people havn't sold the item is because nobody is buying.

If you are still watching this board, I sent you an email last night.  It was a hotmail address, that's all I'll say, with  rather appropriate subject line and a short brief message.  I'm pretty sure I know what's going on, but websites are being taken down now, and it's getting really interesting.  Love to chat.

I was waiting to hear (read) from someone who has worked there. It can't feel good pulling money from wallets like that when delivering on promises you know aren't true. I mean, sales is a great career.....but not in this way. This is not sales, it is extorsion. Selling cars, timeshare, insurance, products, etc. is great......selling lies and nothing tangible is completely wrong.....anyway.

"Sales" I thank you for that post. It was almost like a breath of fresh air. A sales guy name "Daniel" called me a couple times, again one of the calls that claims to be trying several times to get in touch with  me, and I didn't call back......until this morning. Greeted with a professional sounding automated machine, I waited for a reprentative to answer the phone. No one answered. I waited on hold...."listening to some pretty boring music while on hold"......and no one picked. That ius when I went online, did some research and found this site. There were some other sites with the exact same situations but this one seemed a bit more interesting. And then I read your post, "sales". Hilarious. 100% believable, as well.

I called the number back to see if I can pick their brains a bit....now I am thankful I didn't even do that. Good move for getting out of there, "Sales".

Glad you checked online before you bought.  If you only knew the whole truth you would be agasp.  It’s pretty much a racket over there – over 80% of the customers apply for refunds.  The other 20% or so just seem to forget, which what they hope for.  That being said, if you request that refund one day late, or TOO early, they simply deny it.

They do have some impressive technology to reaching out to customers, but at the end of the day the website just doesn’t work to sell cars.  We have an internal ad counter that we really wanted to be displayed for peoples ads, but they wouldn’t allow it because many of the customers vehicles never get viewed (unless it is by the customer clicking on their own ad).

Not sure where you live, but AutoTrader.com really is the best place for exposure (and cheapest), followed by eBaymotors, Craigslist and Cars.com.  You might also want to put in the paper in a larger market…that really does work well.

We used to have similar prices with AutoTrader between $30-$80 for a listing.  AutoTrader stayed at the same price and got more exposure/hits/traffic.  Adventis/TheBigLot/AMS quadrupled their price and get less hits.  You do the reasoning.

What's also funny is that compnay knows ZERO about used cars and values.  The out going message used to say something like "we guarantee to sell you car for your asking price or your money back".  Sound too good to be true....

So i been scammed before in the past and now im always on the look out to see if people are trying to scam me again. I too am trying to sell my expedition and posted it on craigslist with mines and my boyfriends number to call on the ad. they got a hold of my boyfriend while he was at work and a guy named Matt left a message stating that he could sell our vehicle for us. we havent paid them the money ($249) yet because we dont have the money now, just awaiting the package to come in the mail. so far things seem legit, looked this company up online and everything. we'll see how everything goes

oh and i forgot to mention that the caller "matt" left a number to call back 866-326-9921 and that he was from Longwood Inc and we did. so we called, asked for him and ended up talking with a lady named Livvy from Auto Marketing Systems instead. Told her we werent able to pay now because we dont have the money, and because we dont wanna be scammed again.
