Justin, just the concept of this put a huge "Warning Alert" before me.  We were getting them for years on a car that my name wasn't even on.  After so many unanswered mailings and phone calls (where they don't say anything!) later, they finally started these to ME about MY Dodge!   HA!

These are nothing but con artistis out to make a buck off of dumb PHUCKS like the person who answered just below your info...Or maybe he is one of THEM!

I also received the same scam in the mail, but mine was on a post card, it was kind of cute, because at the bottom it says "PS: We have reduced our environmental impact by eliminating envelopes and letters."

Now they are using Permit # 492 out of Portland, ME.

I have a 2004' Grand Am with over 130,000 miles on it and they send me this which says:
"The Factory Warranty will expire. Currently, your vehicle has qualified coverage under out Manufacturers Warranty Replacement Programs awaiting activation. RESPOND NOW for the NO FEE payment plan and a 20% premium reduction.

Don't wait for a repair bill to hurt your economic recovery!

Call 1-866-341-9255 with your current vehicle mileage Please refer to Customer Code # PXK1171352"

and at the bottom is says:
Vehicle Assurance is a nationwide agent of Vehicle Service Contracts (FL #P129335)
Contracts administered by ACSC(Glodkey) and Enterprise Financial Group
    8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST Monday - Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday

Looked up Vehicle Assurance on BBB and this is what I found:

    Business Name / Address

    Vehicle Assurance

    Saint Charles, MO 633012557

And as far as how these scammers get your personal information as far as the year, make, and model of your vehicle, as well as your name and address, I would definitely look at the car dealership that you had bought your vehicle from. Selling contact lists of past buyers personal information is a good way for scam artist car dealerships to make extra money on the side. So like I said, please do not fall for this scam, or any others similar to this one. And it probably would not hurt to have your credit report checked, just in case, because identity theft is one of the largest crimes of the 21st century.
Who knows how many companies your information could have been sold to...
Especially with some car dealerships lack of good business ethics these days ...
Just something to think about ...

Well to be perfectly honest, I'm a little confused......There are many comments insisting this is a  scam that the company is trying to pull and there are comments (mostly from one poster) insisting this is a legitimate offer.
My elderly father received a very similiar letter from 2 companys and is considering calling them. I offered to check into it. The first company that I checked out clearly was a scam. This one has opposing facts/opinions, but based on the first, I'm afraid I have to say, NO to the second as well.  I hope this is the correct decision. He doesnt have alot of money so is always looking for ways to save. I dont think this is one of them. Thanks to everyone for your contributions.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GIVE YOUR NUMBER OR GIVE A FAKE NUMBER FOR CALL BACK.

Got a letter for my 2005 Nissan Altima. Just called, 1-866-341-9255, the guy for my 2005 Nissan. First this guy was so happy and willing to bend over for you. But later when I said I need to talk with my wife, he became way to pushy. He gave me $500 down and $230 per month for next 60 months. This is a 5 year contract. He said, you can terminate but it will be prorated. There is about $50 termination fee, but he was not exactly sure as he does not handle termination part - he only sales !!!! (Beware) Then I told him that such a big contract, I need to talk with my wife and he became a mad man. He told me "Forget your wife. She is not going to make decisions. It's you and I that will make decisions." This is freaking rude and ridiciulous, offensive. Did he really think that I will just ignore my wife and listen to him? He said his offer is for the first call. If I call again, it will be more. He is willing to work on the price with me if I don't talk to my wife and sign up. When asked more, He said, if you file a claim for $3000 (for example), and then terminate a year after then you are prorated based on your claim. (I.e. 5 year it will cost you $13,800 + $500 to join. He will take the $3000 out and refund the rest. In other words, will not charge you for more than what you have claimed for.) Well, in that case, I am paying my claims out of my pocket. If I don't make the claim, then they are just collecting my money and making a profit. Hope I make sense. This is a scam. Don't do it. So he put me on hold to get a lower price, and I hung up as he not only try to feed me bull crap but also insulted my wife and our relationship.

I too received a card in the mail urging me to call 1-866-341-9255 regarding the expiration of the warranty on my vehicle; I have a 2003 BMW, it is in good shape, but to get an extended warranty for this vehicle is outrageous.  I would prefer that this company stop wasting their money and my time on useless marketing scams!  If they want my business they need to be honest and upfront about what they are selling and allow me to make a decision without having to call the phone #..

I also received a letter like above ones. Have to admit, i fell for this scam. Thought it was a good deal so I signed up. Now after doing some research I decided to call back the number and too see if I could cancel this service contract. Good thing its only been a couple weeks since I fell for this....So I called in and asked to cancel this and I was told I couldn't because I didn't have a good enough reason. I started off telling him that its too much and I found a cheaper warranty at my local ford dealership. This customer rep then asked what I was the dealership price so I said abt 1900, vs the original 2495. So they matched the 1900. Which now I feel a little relieved but I would still like to cancel this. I feel that they wont cancel this contract cause I have no "real" reason. So I'm reaching at to someone out there that been able to fight this company and/or cancel the contract. How do I cancel this contract if they wont cancel it? Can I get the authorities involved?  Any advice would be helpful. Please email me at fishing_5@yahoo.com so I can at least talk to someone about this company/scam. Please.
