It was not an incoming call, it popped up while I was on my PC sttating I needed to call and freeze my bank account and any other accounts that had to do with money. I am going to run a system recovery also. Not calling that number.

- BigA replies to confusedI doubt you need to run system recovery. You visited a site with ads and because you are not using an ad blocker, that pop up loaded. All that you should need to do is to clear the cache and cookies and then get a browser that allows you to block ads.
- ATGI was on NY Daily News, but the same thing as everyone else. I am impressed with the inventiveness. It looked real!

- VicSame red screen but I was stupid enough to call; when they wanted me to delete malware I hung up but still stuck with red screen pop-up. Ugh, hate these jerks.

to this error message - DiegoGot this message yesterday. Called it immediately and wasn't able to get through. Today either. How can you run a good scam and never allow your victims to get through to you? I love wasting their time! YAHOO seems to be the site that provides these bogus messages.

- HenryWasn't on a site, jut went into google chrome and the red screen took over. Wrote number down so I could check it out and shut down computer. Checked for Microsoft support phone number and it didn't match so put in phone number and got these comments. You can never be too careful now a days.

- JoeSame as above for me. Talked to them for about 15 minutes until they eventually hung up. Middle eastern-Indian accent with names like "Jason White" and Jack Harris" with bogus employee ID numbers. I don't know how the message came up on chrome, because I have a reliable/reputable ISP.
