- Mariana VilledaI keep getting calls from 1-866-369-9826 or similar numbers and it is definitely a fraud attempt. If it was Telus or another business the name would appear on the phone automatically. The fact it is a 1800 number that appears is the confirmation they are spoofing a company and pretending to be them. Don’t answer, don’t provide personal information and never call back the number. Keep blocking and ignoring, eventually they will move on.
- Caller: Company
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- letsnotanswerthat| 1 replyI've never answered to this number as it is a long distance number and they've never left a message, clearly not important enough to leave one. It just started recently, but it's been persistent. If it is Telus calling repeatedly it would not surprise me, day one of being with them it was a gong show.
- BigA replies to letsnotanswerthatIt is a toll free number which could come from anywhere in the North American Numbering Plan including right next door.

Annoying - Windrider6| 1 replyI am so glad that I have Telus Call Control. This number shows up the most in the logs as having tried to call me.

- EllBeeCall supposedly from Koodo offering a promotional deal or something. Heavy Indian accent so not sure how much of that I understood. Regardless, told the person I was happy with what I had and wasn't interested in anything she had to offer. Thank you, and goodbye!
PS: She did ask if she was speaking to me, by name!- Caller: Supposedly from Koodo
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Holly replies to Joan| 1 replyNot to sound stupid, but how do you know it's telus?? I would expect Telus to say they are telus.
- Tygerkat replies to HollyNot to call you stupid but why would you expect someone who posted waaay back in 2008 to return & answer your question?

- Dave P.This number is shown as "Globally Accepted Caller" on the Telus call blocking "Call Control" feature. Just a wild guess, but probably a Telus or Telus contractor trying to sell something. My solution - use the call blocking features on our cell phones and the house wireless phone system.
- Caller: Telus
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RalphMight be one of the foreign Telus call centers. Calls daily. Now on the blocked list. Had down-graded cell phone package a few months ago, before terminating cell phone.
As per the Privacy Act of Canada: Do not give companies your drivers license number. Nor your Social Insurance Number. They are not needed for credit checks, as your name and address is good enough. You can also put a down payment in place of a credit check. This down payment will be a non-spendable credit for several months on your account, to be released upon a good payment history.- Caller: maybe Telus
- Call type: Telemarketer
- IHATEUNKNOWNCALLERSCalls often, never leaves a message, blocked

- Seanfrequent caller - daily to multiple times, always at meal time. Shows up on call display as "Telus" or "Telus Mobility". Never leaves a message and is obviously an autodialer as it hangs up within 4 rings. Tries to offer "loyalty deal" but then starts asking for multiple information data that Telus would already have. Often asks for detailed personal and credit information including drivers license and SIN - obviously a scam or someone trying to data mine for identity theft.
- Caller: "Telus", "Telus Mobility"
- Call type: Scam suspicion
