- Hadit replies to KenI finally answered my phone by saying "take me off your list and stop calling me 10 times a day! It's very rude." The guy wanted to "confirm" my name and said he could only remove it if they had the wrong number. Obviously I let him know he had the wrong number. We shall see if I get more calls.
- dennis bernfield10-15 calls a day
- Caller: barclays
- Call type: Debt collector
- Bob E.| 1 replyI have been getting these calls for about a week, sometimes up to 3 times a day. I answered the first several and there was empty air. I Googled the number and one of the names that popped up was Barclay but by a website such as this one. I do have a Barclay account that my wife admitted she forgot to pay the bill last month. Ok, so if THIS is the reason why they are calling me than WHY DONT THEY SAY SOMETHING?? Is robo calling the new way of harassing their customers?
- Caller: Unkown
- J in KentuckyThis is a legitimate number. They call 5 times a day because they want to reach you. They have called me over a few days at 8am, 10am, noon, 3pm, 5pm, and 8pm. I have a caller ID app on my phone that was reporting the number as suspect so I wasn't answering it. When I did, I found out it was the collections department of Barclays (Barclaycard credit card). I missed a payment last month and they were trying to collect to get my account current. They waived the penalty with a payment. Just answer the phone. They told me who they were and didn't ask me for my personal info but verified that they had the right person, told me what they had on file for me, my delinquent credit card info, ect. So if you get someone asking you for your social security number right away, that's suspicious for sure. That didn't happen on my call. Person was very professional and polite. I can't believe I'm writing this, but it was one of the few times I can remember thinking that, and wasn't frustrated by the person on the other end of the line. That's pretty much what motivated me to write this message. For whats it worth....
- Caller: Barclay
- Call type: Debt collector
- J in Kentucky replies to Bob E.I actually had asked about that, and was told it is a computer dialed system that works through a list of delinquent accounts they are trying to get in touch with. It makes all the calls, that why it is so persistent. When you actually pick up the phone it takes a few seconds to connect it to a service rep to complete the call. The call hasn't hung up (unless the system glitched) it is just silent while it finds an available representative and connects the call to them.
- .Sometimes calls and hangs up.
Other times - Caller wants my account number or SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
Not the last 4 digits, the whole number.
A random voice on the phone wants that information?
I don't care if I owe you money or not. I'm not talking to some random voice on the phone.- Caller: Calls and hangs up.
- chrissymy hubby gets about 9 -12 calls per day from this company...I told him it was a scam company because there is a lot of this illegal crap going around where companies pull up random numbers or names and start harassing people endlessly about non-existent bills or debts, in an effort to wear you down so that you just give them money to try to make them leave you alone....but, it'll just make them mark you as a "sucker" and continue....unfortunately we have one of those bargain phone services that does not offer call blocking...I told my hubby since he's never dealt with Barclays, has no outstanding debts, balances, etc....he needs to just ignore them instead of fretting about these hackers...I still say he just needs to change his phone number...would be quite easy....oh well, until then...he will continue to get these scammer phone calls...they never leave messages and one time I did answer out of curiousity, it was an autobot recording telling me "to wait on the line"...whatever dude...I'm a bit more tech savvy than hubby and more up on fraud stuff, etc than hubby...I hope he takes my advice soon or even the advice from the DA's office here in town when I talked to them about the scam

- Have enough problems| 1 replyThey have been calling me several times a day. I turned off my answering machine. Need to still have phone on. I requested my account be closed several months ago due to hardship (surgery & med bills) and explained that I'm working with National Debt Relief. I gave them the address and phone number of my attorney TWICE and they still call me.

- MLCaller calls all time of day for several days. Does not leave a message. Not a number familiar to me.
- Caller: No name
- TexanCall approx. 8 am on a Sat., ID is Toll Free number - not up and didn't answer. Usually ignore all Toll Free unless they leave a message and I know who they are. Out of curiousity today, called number as no message was left. Got recording asking for acct # or SOCIAL SECURITY #. No info as to whom you reached. Are they kidding? I immediately thought it was a phising call to get your social. After I didn't enter anything, someone came on line saying Collection Support or something like that, still no info about who this was supposed to be. I hung up.
I thought it was fraudulent, but I see other comments indicating it is associated with Juniper or Barclays. That surprises me as there was no info about either of those companies as far as I went with the call. No one in this house has ever dealt with credit cards or banks by those names. So why would they call here?- Caller: Not sure
- Sharon DngusThey call me five or six times a day. For anyone having a problem with them or any other junk callers if you are getting this call on a cell, block the number . there are several apps you can download from googles game store that will block any number you enter and then you just clean out the junk folder now and again.
- Lisa RootI keep receiving calls with no one on the other end almost daily from this number. I'd like for it to stop.
